Whitney Houston is looking great in her second public appearance since her split with Bobby and hooking up with Clive on a new album. Hopefully this is the beginning a great comeback for Whitney, I know all of her fans are hoping so...I am definitely looking forward to hearing new music from Ms. Houston!

Diddy's second single from his new album Press Play, Tell Me featuring Christina Aguilera. I just put 2 and 2 together and if the chorus sounds familiar, it's because Danity Kane sang it on MTB3. I wonder if they just couldn't lyrically complete the song as it was or if Diddy decided he liked it and used for this.

I guess Aundrea will be running it during performances...Once again, love the song sans Diddy's poor rapping skills.

I didn't post last weeks because I thought it was a really crappy concept and the pictures seems like bad Halloween costumes...these are border line as well, but they have some beauty in them.

I don't know what the producers and Tyra thought when they came up with these photoshoot themes, but they are really cheesy! I feel bad for these girls having to be so close to Fabio...totally oogey!

Nonetheless, Anchal was gorgeous as the Egyptian Lover. I also felt bad for Brooke having to go home on her graduation but I also thought Tyra was a little too nippy to call her out reminding her that many people would love to be there [which I agree with] but damn, you sent the girl home on her high school graduation, and she'll never get that day back...

TYRESE SET TO RELEASE DOUBLE CD ALTER EGO ON DECEMBER 5 AND INTRODUCES
RAPPER ALIAS BLACK TY

FEATURED ON CHINGY'S #1 HIT SINGLE "PULLING ME BACK"

Tyrese, the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, actor, writer, producer and now rapper, is set to release his long-awaited and much talked about double CD Alter Ego on December 5 on J Records. Alter Ego will serve a dual purpose - a homecoming to his R&B fans around the world with one disc full of soon-to-be-classic hits; and an introduction to the hip-hop world as he unleashes his rapper alias Black Ty on the other disc. The first single from the album will be the R&B single "One" produced by The Underdogs.

Whether passionately singing his own hits, "How You Gonna Act Like That" and "Sweet Lady" or crooning the hook on the current #1 hit single, Chingy's "Pulling Me Back," Tyrese's voice undeniably stands out in today's cluttered R&B arena. On Alter Ego's R&B side, Tyrese joins forces with producers The Underdogs ("One," "Better To Know"), Brian Michael Cox ("Gotta Get It"), Lil' Jon ("Turn You Out"), R. Kelly ("Hurry Up"), Eric Dawkins and Tony Hicks ("Morning After," "Better Than Sex," "Hey Ms. Parker") and Trick Stewart ("Lights On").

On the hip-hop disc, Tyrese shines as rapper Black Ty, which comes naturally since he once was a member of the rap group Triple Impact prior to the success of his solo singing career. Manni Fresh, Scott Storch, All Star and various members from the Frontline Boyz add their production skills on the hip-hop disc which will also feature guest appearances by The Game, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Too Short, David Banner, Method Man, Lil Scrappy and Mannie Fresh.

Isaiah Washington issued a public apology letter today through People Magazine in regards to the scuffle between him and co-star Patrick Dempsey. Allegedly, when T.R. Knight [who recently came out to People Magazine] was late to film a scene, a debate ensued between Dempsey and Washington, with Dempsey insisting on waiting for Knight. The argument quickly intensified and Isaiah allegedly referred to Knight as a "faggot."

Washington wrote:
"I sincerely regret my actions and the unfortunate use of words during the recent incident on-set,” Washington, 43, says in the statement. “Both are beneath my own personal standards. … I have nothing but respect for my coworkers … and have apologized personally to everyone involved."

All reports say that after the ordeal, cooler heads prevailed, and everyone moved on...Shonda Rhimes [Creator of Grey's Anatomy], also dispelled rumors that Isaiah may be replaced by Eriq LaSalle.

“I found (those rumors) not only ridiculous but offensive that we would consider replacing a member of our family,” Rhimes tells PEOPLE. “And also the (idea) that one black man was interchangeable with another seemed disturbing to me.”

Rhimes also dismisses speculation that the mood on the set has been unusually tense. “The mood’s what the mood’s always been,” she says. “We have a group of people who are more of a family than anything else. We have our fun days, and we have our days when people are tired and the work is hard.”
Earlier this week rumors began to swirl that Jermaine Dupri chucked Virgin Records the deuce... yesterday he confirmed to The Associated Press that he has quit as a top executive at Jackson's label, Virgin Records, amid disappointing sales of Jackson's new album.

"Since there are so many rumors running rampant about my position at Virgin Records, I feel that it is necessary to set the record straight," Dupri said Wednesday in a statement released to the AP. "I was not forced out of the company, I made a decision that it was in my best interest to leave."

Dupri, who executive produced Janet's album along with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, became head of urban music at Virgin just last year. His abrupt departure comes after the underwhelming performance of Janet's latest release, "20 Y.O." which failed to debut at the top of the charts last month, then steadily fell. It has sold 443,000 copies since its release Sept. 26, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Foxy Brown was sentenced Tuesday to three years' probation for a fight with two nail salon employees, finally ending an assault case that dragged on for more than two years.

Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, tried to withdraw her guilty plea but a judge said the agreement was legitimate and imposed the sentence.

"I'm innocent," Brown argued before Judge Melissa C. Jackson, claiming she felt rushed at the time she made the plea agreement. She also said her previous lawyer had told her she would face jail time unless she agreed to the deal.

Jackson, after listening to last-ditch pleas from the 27-year-old rapper and her attorney, rejected the appeal for a two-week extension and new arguments, instead handing down the sentence worked out in earlier negotiations.

(CLOCKWISE FROM TOP) Stephen, Colie, Davis, Brooke, Tyrie, Jenn & Alex

Oh my Word! I am really feeling old! I can't believe MTV's Real World is on the 18th season, and I literally have seen every episode of every season! This season's cast will live it up, fight, get freaky nasty, and work in Denver, Co.

More About the Cast:

Alex, 22 - Houston, TX
Alex is the product of a recipe that includes a heap of cockiness, a dash of street smarts, tad bit of sensitivity and a whole lot of sex appeal. However, this over confident, Texan flirt does not lack passion. He holds many things close to his heart; such as, his position as Division I swimmer at ASU, his family, his women (yes, plural!) and his never-ending escapades at the hottest parties. Yet, he yearns to build credit as a mature gentleman. Will the Real World house be a place for Alex to grow...or regress?

Brooke, 24 - Nashville, TN
Raised by two clinical psychologists in a sheltered environment, Brooke is not your typical southern belle. She's grown up to be everything her society averts. Admitting to be an extremely sexual person, Brooke ended a long-term interracial relationship just prior to joining the cast of Real World to see if her dream of stardom could become a reality. One thing is for sure, life for this dainty-looking, self-assured, independent young woman is ready for all the challenges the Real World has to offer.

Stephen, 22 - Washington, DC
Stephen is a charmer who flies in the face of convention. Originally from Sacramento, Stephen attends Howard University in Washington, DC. A hardcore Republican conservative who is against gay marriage, Stephen can be quite outspoken, but also deeply religious. He's extremely ambitious and loves to be the center of attention. He's also an expert in persuasion and salesmanship. There's no question that he will expect to be top dog at the house. The problem is his roommates are probably thinking the same thing about themselves.

Colie, 22 - East Brunswick, NJ
This sorority president is probably the strongest personality in the house. Her disciplined attitude comprises of making profound promises, keeping her word, and displaying a go-getter attitude. Colie's constant need for attention (especially from the male kind) and her free-spirited nature makes it easy to label her as the typical crazy party girl. But those who care to observe would notice a softer heart. Colie will be sure to stir things up, contributing her own brand of unpredictability to the mix.

Tyrie, 23 - Omaha, NE
Raised by a father from a military background, Tyrie is the product of a strict and aggressive upbringing. That served as the main roadblock for a healthy father-son relationship in the family. While Tyrie searched for a safe haven, he found refuge in a gang. Today, Tyrie makes an effort to leave his past behind and remain focused and determined to succeed in life. Already renowned on his college campus for his sharp wit, passion for politics, and big heart, Tyrie is ready to take things to the next level.

Jennifer, 22 - Martinez, CA
Jenn has played the typical happy roles in her life as the cheerleader, popular girl and party animal. However behind this fun-loving facade, this Oakland Raiderette cheerleader yearns for emotional attachment. Her quest for real happiness stems from her inability to allow herself to be vulnerable, love and trust. Can the experience of being one of seven strangers help her find her softer side?

Davis, 23 - Marietta, GA
Davis is the typical blonde-haired, blue-eyed, frat boy. Or is he? Hailing from the south, his upbringing was steeped in conservative Christianity. There's only one issue...Davis is gay. He first realized this in sixth grade, and came out to his mom a few years later. Not surprisingly, Davis' revelation was not received well within his family. Applying for the Real World was a big step for Davis. He's spent most of his life afraid to show the world who he truly is, but now he's ready for that to change.

So many stereotypes, so little time! But I am addicted to Real World so i will definitely be tuning in! The new season begins Wednesday, November 22nd @ 10 pm on MTV...
Diddy is hitting the morning show rounds and once again Danity Kane took the place of Nicole on 'Come to Me.' I am wondering how the hell he's going to tour with this new album because every song is a collaboration and Danity Kane can't always be his back up singers! Not to mention Danity Kane have their own material to promote!

Created and executive produced by Sean J. Johnson and Nathan H. Williams, 'My Model' -- premiering Nov. 1 at 10:00 p.m. on the new digital cable channel BET J -- will provide aspiring fashion stylists a chance to flex their fashion acumen.

Twelve contestants will be judged by fashion photographer Ezequiel "Ez" de la Rosa and 'Trace' magazine fashion editor Daphne Devallie.

The warrant for Wesley Snipes’ arrest has led authorities to the country of Namibia.

The “Blade” actor, who’s been indicted for tax fraud, is currently shooting a film in Namibia, which has no extradition treaty with the U.S., reports Reuters.

“It is confirmed. He is definitely here,” says Edwin Kanguatjivi, chief executive officer of the Namibia Film Commission. “He has been in Namibia since the end of August.”

Snipes is filming “Gallowwalker,” a horror-western in which he plays a gunman whose victims return from the dead.

The actor is wanted on an indictment that alleges he filed false refund claims of about $12 million and failed to file tax returns for six years. He faces a maximum of 16 years in prison if he’s convicted on all counts.

It’s not certain what the United States will do in this situation regarding the lack of formal extradition treaty with Namibia.

Tiffany "New York" Patterson left a message for her fans on her myspace blog...

Dear Friends,

I realize many of you tuned in for the final episode last night and I can't help but feel so blessed to have your unconditional love and support. I can proudly say that NY fans are among the most intelligent, diverse, top-notch group of people out there.

Please remember that the taping of the final episode was 5 months ago, just like in Flavor of Love 1. I did have a little trip, but that was very short lived. For those of you who know my character, I am very calculating with my career and recover quite quickly from life's mishaps. Since Flavor of Love, I have moved on to even "bigger and better things". I am very excited about the secret projects that I have been working on these past months and I hope you guys will be there with me for the ride!

There are a lot of "under the table" deals when it comes to reality TV. That is just the nature of the industry and it should be taken for entertainment purposes only. We all know reality can be distorted, especially when a lot of money is on the line and ratings is the top priority. There are so many secrets about this industry I wish I could reveal, however, I am still bound by contract to keep my mouth shut.(maybe I will get the chance to reveal these secrets on the Tyra Banks show one day :)

One thing is for sure. The love and support from my fans is so much more important to me than winning a reality TV show. I would rather be in my position right now than both of the winners from Flavor of Love 1 & 2. Making quick dollars through club promotions and hosting parties is not my cup of tea. I am more interested in the long haul and it is my intention to be around for a very long time.

There is a saying in life that goes "sometimes the winner isn't the one that walks away with the crown." This quote is very true for me, as you will all see in the coming months.
Love Always,

~TIFFANY AKA NY

P.S. --- Stay tuned for the reunion show where I will reveal my "secret"

So what's the "secret"??

New York is the Flavorette!
Furthermore completing the conspiracy theory that she only came back for TV purposes and wasn't supposed to win, giving her the opportunity for a spin off! I'm just saying, though...

VH-1 Release:

"The Reunion special...'After the Lovin'...is premiering Sunday, Oct. 29 at 10PM. Deelishis & Flav will be reunited for the first time since they filmed the Finale. Flav will meet Deelishis' daughter and give her a special nickname. Goldie returns to dish about her thoughts on this season's girls. Krazy sings and some of the girls do their booty dances again. It's definitely a MUST SEE!

As announced in the New York Post today, the Flavorette will feature New York and 20 eligible bachelors. Premiere date TBD."

London Charles, affectionately known as Deelishis, expressed her feelings with BET.com on her recent victory of Flavor Flav's heart on the finale of Flavor of Love.

BET.com: Your feelings for Flav sound so genuine, yet many viewers can't picture you, or anybody for that matter, having real feelings for him.

Deelishis: My feelings are genuine, and I really don't care to explain it. People will hopefully see a wonderful outcome and eventually come to see it for themselves. It's real.

BET.com: How did you feel when you heard Flav tell New York he loved her?

Deelishis: We recognized he loved her when he wanted her back on the show. He's a person who is easy to love, so it's easy for him to love. When I heard him say that, I was confused. I thought it was the end, but they had history and that love may have been a respect thing.

BET.com: Did you feel bad for her when she lashed out at Flav?

Deelishis: No, she was a tad bit extra for me. I never witnessed a true moment for her until that moment. You would never see New York pull her weave behind her ear. That was the only time she was real. She was humiliated.

BET.com: Were you upset to find out that New York and Flav slept together?

Deelishis: During the Belize trip, yeah, I was upset because I thought my connection with him was crazy. But prior to that point, it was whatever. I wasn't sleeping with him, so maybe he just wanted to get his rocks off.
In the end, I won. And If he didn’t pick me, I would have thought it was all for TV.

Deelishis has a few words for those who questioned her womanhood. Plus, will Deelishis play mommy to Flav's kids? Find out!

BET.com: OK, Sweetlikhoney wants to know, "How [did] you keep cool without kicking New York's ass?"

Deelishis: Knowing eventually a reunion would come. My focus was on Flav. When we made it to Belize, I was tired of fighting. I chilled, prayed and enjoyed the scenery. I was preparing for what could have been one of the most devastating days of my life.

BET.com: Lagrette asks, "Will you be making any calendars for the holiday season?"

Deelishis: I have been offered, but you can find me in Big Tigga's Kittens 2007 - 2008, Flawless Edition. But I'm really interested in doing a calendar with Flav's kids and my daughter. Something like the Brady Bunch, but the Flavor Bunch. There are enough of us to cover every month.

BET.com: Gclaybon asks, "I have scars like you and it messes with my confidence level. How do you keep your confidence high?"

Deelishis: There's something about my personality that's far more compelling than my scars. I've never had to deal with anyone ever making me feel bad about that in my 28 years. I wasn't self-conscious until recently with the show. I've read some of the cruelest things in those blogs.

It wasn't until now that I find myself covering it up. And I'm going to have to check myself on that. My scars have never defined me. I define them. It's all about who you are. You can't worry about things you can't change or control.

BET.com: Valerie2003 asks, "Will you take care of all of Flav's kids?"

Deelishis: They're a rainbow of beautiful personalities. I'm all about that. I'm not trying to run his life, replace their mother or anything. I just want to be there for them.

BET.com: So, what type of opportunities will you accept? You stated you were not interested in becoming a model; however, you do have a Web site.

Deelishis: I've been a part of EyeCandy Modeling for several years. I'm not a model. I'm not receiving checks like Tyra Banks or Iman. And have you seen my ass? People use the word "model" too loosely. Do I promote myself? Yes. Take it for what it is. I'm not going to walk on nobody's catwalk, and I'm not interested in videos. I enjoy taking pictures. Calvin Klein would never hire me. He would tell me to go on the treadmill first.

BET.com: Are there any misconceptions or rumors you'd like to clear up?

Deelishis: I AM a woman. The first time I read that, I didn't know how to feel. It cut deeply. It cut like a knife and more importantly I have a daughter. I've been through things only a woman can go through, so for someone to strip my God-given abilities, it hurt. When we were adolescents we all went through torment because kids are cruel. I didn't expect to go through this now. It was heartbreaking.
But, I held my head up. I was born a woman and I will die a woman.

BET.com: Will you ever remove your scars?

Deelishis: No, I won't remove them, and it is very expensive. Plus, if I treat them, my doctor said that there's no guarantee that they'll go away and stay away. Like I said, no one really cared until now, but I'm good.....

Rapper Fabolous was shot early Tuesday as he stood at a Manhattan parking garage, spurring a sequence of events that left him both hospitalized in stable condition and under arrest, police said.

The rapper, whose legal name is John Jackson, was shot once in the thigh when a male with a gun approached him and three others and opened fire, police spokesman Sgt. Mike Wysokowski said.

The four jumped into a vehicle and fled, attracting the attention of police, who stopped them and discovered two guns in the vehicle, Wysokowski said. All four men were arrested, and charges were pending.

Danity Kane at a recent appearance on their Nordstrom Mall Tour...D. Woods was absent but the girls have announced that they are going to be hitting the road with Christina Aguilera next year!

Their hit song is called "Show Stopper" and the Bad Boy girl group Danity Kane was forced to be just that, after a car accident put a stop to their show last Thursday. The girls (Aubrey O'Day, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard, and Aundrea Fimbres) were on their way to Toledo, Ohio for a concert, when another vehicle struck the Lincoln Town Car they were traveling in.

One of the DK singers Aubrey O'Day wrote on her MySpace Blog:
The girls are in the hospital and are trying to get better. I just spoke with Aubrey and she has a mild concussion and a black eye. Dawn hurt her shoulder and they all have whiplash injuries. D.Woods was the only one not present.

The girls felt so bad about not being able to attend the club appearance and still wanted to show up. Clearly the doctor did not grant their wishes, he advised them that there is no way they can be in public right now. Doctor's orders were medication and plenty of rest.

Dawn Richard also had a word of apology to fans on her blog. The scheduled performance at Headliners was canceled due to the accident, as well as the following night's show at the Shotwell Pavilion in Rochester, Michigan.

The group recently announced that they were one of the opening acts for Christina Aguilera's North American tour, which is slated for kickoff in February.

Big Pun gets caught pistol whipping his wife on the security camera...

Spotted @ Hip & Pop

Diddy ft. Keyshia Cole - Last Night

powered by ODEO

Diddy ft. Brandy - Thought You Said

powered by ODEO

I personally like Diddy, I think he one smart mutha*&^% but dude's gotta give up the rapping! Both songs are cool, but because of the collaborations. I think both songs would be great with just Keyshia and Brandy as R&B songs...but anyhow Press Play is hitting shelves Tuesday the 17th...

Coko ft. Faith, Lil' Mo, and Fantasia
Endow Me

powered by ODEO

If you didn't know, Coko of SWV is now recording Gospel music now and this is a great song...Faith and Fantasia together is wonderful! Love it!

Amerie - Take Control

powered by ODEO

This said to be produced by DC-native Rich Harrison and a collaboration with Gnarls Barkley. I like it...she is looking to drop a new album at the end of this year or early next year.

The teen girls are probably fainting over this collaboration, but I can't like, I like the song...Lil' Bow Wow is trying to get his grown man on!

Once Again
John Legend

Okay so I have nabbed a pre-released version of Once Again, with the listed tracklisting. I listened to the album all day today and it is definitely a great musical production. This is not for the teeny boppers and snappers, this is truly for the grown and sexy!

Save Room

powered by ODEO

This first single definitely set the tone for the whole album, its sophisticated and reminiscent of an older era. Like the album itself it is beyond what many percieve as R&B.

Heaven

powered by ODEO

This is one of my favorites from the album, a very soulful track that could potentially be another single.

Stereo

powered by ODEO

Stereo is very funky mid-tempo track, I love the metaphor of "loving in stereo!"

Show Me

powered by ODEO

Another song from another era brought to modern R&B and done very well!

Each Day Gets Better

powered by ODEO

Cool 70's groove, reminds me of The O'Jays' "Family Reunion."

P.D.A. (We Just Don't Care)

powered by ODEO

Nothing wrong with a little P.D.A. sometime...

Again

powered by ODEO

Another favorite of mine, the melody is great, the flute is so delicate and a nice contrast to the beat.

Slow Dance

powered by ODEO

Maxine

powered by ODEO

I love this song! It's like the Black Alfie!

Where Did My Baby Go?

powered by ODEO

Great love ballad, I could see a great cinematic video for this song. Picture a guy strolling through Manhattan going about his day, catching glimpse of his lady but it's not her...every where he goes he thinks he sees her but it's just his imagination.

Another Again

powered by ODEO

Ordinary People part deux, real talk song...love it!

Maxine's Interlude

powered by ODEO

Coming Home

powered by ODEO

The inspirational closing song every R&B album would be incomplete without, with full choir too!

Definitely a great album, John Lagend is a great musician and this is an awesome sophomore record! I recommend you pick it, should sell very well....

ANTM's most recent model reject, Monique, has been running her mouth non stop since her elimination...

I watched her on the Tyra Banks Show today and she tried to defend her ridiculously annoying behavior by saying it was "for the cameras," however Tyra shut that down quickly by saying that she was tired of Black women being portrayed as the "bitch" on reality TV...I'd have to agree with Tyra on that one. Though I still think the chick is a little nutty and all of that wasn't just TV editing.

Anyhow here are a few excerpts from some of her interviews:

From Reality TV Magazine:

QUESTION: How do you think you were portrayed on the show?

ANSWER: They portrayed me correctly, but that’s not Monique. I wanted to be a character on the show. The people that know me will tell you that I’m not really that character on the show.

QUESTION: Why do you think the girls did not get along with you?

ANSWER: That’s not true. I got along with most of the girls. I made friends with Eugena and Jaeda. There were girls that I definitely did not speak to but I got along with the girls.

QUESTION: In cycle 1 Adrienne got very sick and was hospitalized. In cycle 6 Danielle was very sick and hospitalized and they both did their shoots and won. Why didn’t you stay to do the shoot

ANSWER: I heard about the others. Those girls were only dehydrated. I had upper respiratory problems and I was dehydrated. We were there for hours waiting to be prepped and I only had IV fluids in me with a little water. My body started to hurt. Jay said to me that health is important and if I really feel bad, I should go home. My doctor said all you need to do is get better, lie down and do nothing else. I would have been the first girl to drown if I would have gone through with the shoot. Believe me I have always wanted to be a model.

From IGN:

IGN TV: Did you have a hard time with the nude shot?

Monique: Actually, I didn't. It was ok. Except for the men around. It was scary at first, but once I got up there, I was like, 'forget it, I'm already naked, I'm already up here.'

IGN TV: You didn't seem happy with your makeover. Do you still wish they had done something extreme?

Monique: Yea, I was actually kind of disappointed because I'm watching the show, I see girls get these exaggerated different looks, so for me, I was thinking they were going to cut my hair off, I'm ready. And then they were like 'you're getting the same thing, just change the color' and I'm like 'nooooo! Give me something different, please! That's why I came on here. Give me something crazy.'

IGN TV: What was your favorite part of the experience?

Monique: Just seeing all the different girls and doing all the different things that we did like the challenges and stuff. It was fun.

From TV Cocktail:

Who do you think should have been eliminated?

M: Melrose.

Why do you think Melrose should have been eliminated?

M: First thing: she is short. Second thing: she is really a diva bitch, like in real life.

The FORT interview:

Were you close to anyone in the house?
The closest I got to was Eugena, and Brooke and Jaeda.

What is your impression of Eugena?
I think she’s cool. I think she’s very level-headed, and she has a desire to be a model.

What about Jaeda?
Well, she’s cool, I just don’t know if she really wants to model.

Did Amanda and Michelle stick together as one unit in the house?
They were always together. Even when they didn’t try they did things alike and they didn’t even notice it; and we were like, “Okaaay.” Yeah, it was starting to irritate a lot of us girls because we were like, “We don’t get to have a friend or a sister here to be on our side and have our back.” So it became irritating after a while.

Word is that our favorite homegrown songbird, Brandy and Project Runway's frontrunner, Michael Knight are a new hot item...She was spotted at NYC Fashion Week...I guess she is getting past her rumored stalker post with Quinten?!

He's the perfect gentleman and has really won her affection," says a source close to the singer. They're so smitten with each other that they're racking up frequent flyer miles. She even showed her support by sitting front row at Michael's show during New York Fashion week.

Cassidy is recovering in an undisclosed hospital after being involved in a serious car accident on Wednesday night in New Jersey.

The rapper was a passenger in an SUV en route to a studio in Yonkers, New York, when a U-Haul truck swerved into oncoming traffic and struck the SUV. The truck crashed into the side of the vehicle that Cassidy was sitting in, according to a J Records spokesperson and members of Cassidy's camp.

Cassidy was rushed to the hospital, suffering a fractured skull. A large number of bones in the left side of his face were also broken, according to his people. Cassidy is in critical condition and is said to be breathing on his own. On Thursday afternoon (October 5) he underwent a CAT scan; his reps report Cassidy's doctors as saying his brain activity is normal, adding that the rapper is heavily sedated and his injuries are not life-threatening. None of the four other passengers in the vehicle were injured.

On Thursday evening, Cassidy's friend and collaborator Swizz Beatz e-mailed MTV News saying, "Cass is like my brother, and this has been such a rough year for him. We're all praying and staying positive during this time. Thanks to everyone for their continued support, and please keep Cassidy and his family in your prayers." He expressed similar sentiments on L.A. radio station Power 106 on Thursday afternoon. Cassidy has been working on his third album for Swizz's Full Surface label, which is affiliated with J Records, for the past several months.

The rapper was released from prison in March after serving eight months. He had been convicted of involuntary manslaughter and other charges stemming from the 2005 shooting death of Desmond Hawkins (see "Cassidy Released From Jail After Serving Eight Months").

They say Oprah Winfrey's a Black woman, but she's [been] catering to a demographic of a middle-aged White woman for so long that I believe she's a middle-aged White woman. Oprah will have a rapist on her show and have a discussion about why they do it, but won't have a rags to riches story on her show. She'll have Kanye West on her show. I think middle America would rather have they kids be gay, than have them aggressive."
