In an exclusive sit-down with Diane Sawyer, the celebutante talks for the first time about the impending birth of her child with Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden.
ABC says in the interview, which airs on "Good Morning America" Thursday and Friday and on "20/20" Friday night, Richie "speaks candidly about why this particular constellation of young female stars -- Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears, among others -- have behaved badly so publicly." She should know!
As for her upcoming stint in the slammer, Richie told Sawyer, "I have a responsibility and it's something that I did wrong, and if I could personally apologize to every single person that has lost a loved one from drunk driving I would," she said of her recent guilty plea. "And unfortunately I can't, but this is my way of paying my dues and taking responsibility and being an adult."

What’s going on with the Fugees reunion, or lack there of?Wyclef goes on to breakdown what tensions has plagued the reunion and his new album, Carnival II: Memoirs of an Immigrant, which features appearances from Lil Wayne, Akon, Sizzla, Paul Simon, Mary J. Blige, Chamillionaire, Minister Louis Farrakhan and more.
WYCLEF: I’m officially Paul McCartney from the Beatles now. If the Fugees wanna come back, and Lauryn wanna come back…you can’t break the format. Don’t come back and be like, “I wanna produce a beat.” That’s like me saying I wanna sing an R&B vocal. When we was working on the album, I was like, [to Lauryn], “You need to do this like this.” [And] she says, “How do you know what’s relevant? I haven’t heard anything from you in the past like three, four years?” The minute she said that I was like, I gotta go back to working.
So what’s ultimately holding you guys back?
Lauryn is straight up the problem, bro. She wants to be a producer. Don’t come telling us how to chop up beats so you can get credit for it.

Runaway groom Usher is headed back into his mama's arms.
A day after the last-minute cancellation of his Hamptons wedding to pregnant fiancée Tameka Foster, the Grammy winner was bound for Atlanta to make peace with his estranged mother, Jonetta Patton, sources told the Daily News.
"The reason he called off the ceremony is that he couldn't go through with it without Jonetta," said one insider. "He had an eleventh-hour epiphany."
The source said the 28-year-old multiplatinum R&B star was expected to fly home yesterday to Atlanta, where his mother lives. It wasn't known last night whether the 38-year-old Foster, who is expecting his child in the fall, would be traveling with him.
The nuptials appeared to be going full-steam ahead late last week. After some negotiation, Foster had signed a prenuptial agreement, according to people close to the singer.
"Usher conceded to some of her terms," said one source.
On Thursday night, he had his bachelor party. But, on Friday, "he started having second thoughts again," said a source. "He was obviously troubled that Jonetta wasn't coming."
For weeks, it had been unclear whether there was a wedding hall big enough to hold Patton and Foster, who've long been at odds. Last week, sources said, Foster agreed that Patton could come to the wedding - but, by then, Patton had resolved to stay in Atlanta.
"Usher woke up on Saturday and said he couldn't go through with it," said a source. "Apparently, he also couldn't bring himself to call all the people who were invited. He had the wedding planner call everyone in the wedding party."
The word also went out to stunned guests who were about to board a shuttle bus from a nearby inn to the Sagaponack estate of Island Def Jam chief Antonio (L.A.) Reid.
Foster was furious: "She was marching around, cursing," said a source.
Foster, a divorced mother of three, had at one point worked as Usher's stylist only to be forced out by his manager-mother.
Later, she won a more important place in Usher's life, as his girlfriend, and started crossing swords with several of his longtime friends and handlers.
Shortly before Mother's Day, Usher announced that Patton, who had guided him toward superstardom, would no longer be his manager. Usher denied that Foster planned to take over the role Patton once held.
This month, Usher wrote an open letter in People magazine, declaring "I am not being led" by Foster. That letter prompted AOL Black Voices columnist Jawn Murray to call upon Usher to make up with Patton, or risk alienating his fan base of women. "You only have one mother," wrote Murray, whose letter Usher is said to have read last week.
Also factoring into the crisis was a National Enquirer story alleging that Foster had served time for petty crimes and had once dated a drug dealer killed in an ambush.
The story quoted Foster's half-sister, Valencia Foster, as saying, "Poor Usher has no idea who he's marrying."
Valencia Foster also said Tameka had threatened to ban her mother from the ceremony - because she had lost her false teeth!
"Tameka told her: 'You're not coming to my wedding without teeth.'"
Usher's rep, Patti Webster, did not immediately return a request for comment.

1st of all, Natalie Stewart was never replaced... However, at the end of the Flo'ology tour December 5th 2006 in Birmingham, UK, right after the show, Natalie wished me safe travels and we hadn't spoken since.. well until a few weeks ago... of course there are things that happened between us and will remain on my part between us yet there was evidence of a separation in the group way b4 these rumors came to light...
you see, myspace.com tells you what you need to know about a person, or what you want them to know about you... whilst Nat nor myself were communicating, I took the easy road and I went to check out her page coz a fan hit me with the link like wtf!!! this was early this year... so i see on Nat's personal page "Life After Floetry... Natalie Stewart is... Super Heroine..." and I'm like OK, she got her Code Records poppin, she was doin her... grown woman, had to respect the M.O... so I'm back in Philly, she's in the UK, we're not talking, I see "Life After Floetry..." to me, she left...
so, I'm getting calls from label people, management, etc... they let me know what was being said and done and I'm like damn... what to do now... coz its all personal, but Nat has been like my sister and I'll back her 100... but at some point, I gotta say or/and do somethin... I had to do me, I just want to make music... personal shyt aside... I've put blood sweat and tears into Floetry, when people see me out anywhere, I'm the chick from Floetry, its my aka, my ID... so, I'm continuing a brand that I sure as helped build and I'm creating opportunities for projects that I believe in... I believe in the Floetry brand and I am continuing and chose to do so with Amanda Diva on the "Floetry Remixed Tour"
"Floetry Remixed" came about very suddenly...I met Amanda Diva thru a friend and we creatively clicked instantly... I can't control promoters, i can't control gossip sites, what I can give you is my word.... not one of them sites had a quote from me saying nothing... every promoter of the Floetry Remixed tour knew what it was going in... I'm about the music... I'm about being on the road and giving the music to the people... I respect that everyone is so passionate and concerned about music... makes me wanna be better at what I do... but, as always, I respect other people's moves... I'll let you do you... I'm a friend till the end... but when it gets all crazy, at some point I have to see things for what they really are... if its not working, its not working... i can't please everybody... I can't, i tried that... got me in a whole bunch of shyt... guess if I'd a grown up sooner, things woulda been different but I can't live like that, I just gotta LIVE... and let LIVE...
Natalie Stewart: you are my sister... blood... an important part of me being here doing what I dreamed about for the longest and you know that... I support you 100... you know how we get when its all personal and emotional and so very separate... we are different, and that's OK... you know me... I wish you well... all my luv...
at the end of the day, its all luv and music... if only it was that simple... :)

The wedding between Usher and his pregnant fiancee has been canceled, his publicist told The Associated Press on Saturday.Webster would not comment on whether the two were still engaged or even a couple. DAMN!
However, a statement released by publicist Patti Webster exclusively to the AP read: "It was announced today that the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond, IV and Tameka Foster was canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected."
"Usher's mother [and former manager, Jonetta Patton, whom he fired in May] is against the wedding. That is one of the main obstacles," according to the source, who also said of the bride, 37, and groom, 28: "They only decided two weeks ago to have a wedding. They wanted to have it take place before the baby bump started showing."
But as another source tells PEOPLE: "Usher changed his mind."
Usher (full name: Usher Raymond) and Foster, a stylist, also "had a lot of differences about the details. For example, the bride wanted barbeque, [and] he wanted to have [renowned chef] Jean Georges cook," said the source.
As a result of the differences, the wedding "was on again off again for the past few days. [Foster] was calling it off because she wasn't getting the things that she wanted. The mother was calling it off. ... Usher was calling it off." [READ MORE]

Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett headline David Fincher's upcoming "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." Even superstars need moms though, and Taraji P. Henson is playing Benjamin (Pitt)'s mom, Queenie.[SOURCE]
"I age from 26 to 71," said Henson. "It's early 1900s mixed with modern times and flashbacks. I play Brad Pitt's mother because he's born with this rare aging disease, left on my doorstep and I adopt him like any good southern woman would. My character runs an old folks home and a lot of the extras were senior citizens."
The story has Pitt age backwards, and mommy is there most of the time. "She's with the beginning, she teaches Benjamin Button everything he needs to know. Then there's a part where he goes off into the world to become a man, then he comes back. He comes back home to momma. So there's one little segment I'm not in but pretty much the whole movie."
It sounds like a more whimsical film than the usual Fincher fare, but the dark director compensated for that. "He's very dark and he's very upset that he's made a beautiful film. He's walking around, 'Ah, I can't believe I made a ****ing beautiful movie. Rrr, rrr." He still tried to make it dark. He had the smoke machine. Trust me, it's still dark where it can be, but it's beautiful. Beautifully dark."
And as for aging, Henson enjoyed seeing herself in old age makeup. "I just laughed because it's going to happen. It's going to happen and I embrace it."

ESSENCE.com: How did you two officially break up?
MEL B: There was no official breakup. I went to London and on my return flight I learned that he made that announcement about wanting a DNA test on that TV show. Then I saw him on the red carpet with Tracey Edmonds and that's when I knew we were over.
ESSENCE.com: Why do you think he went flip mode and publicly denied his flesh and blood?MEL B: First of all, I'm a very independent woman so if you're trying to control me, that's not going to happen. In any relationship, it's all about compromise. We were going to buy a house in Malibu and move in together. Somehow things got confused along the way because there were certain things that went on in his house with his lifestyle that I wasn't prepared to be a part of. So that became a trippy discussion, which ended up where we both refused to budge. [Gay swinger parties maybe?]
ESSENCE.com: What is it about his lifestyle that you don't like?
MEL B: I have a baby with this guy so I have to be somewhat respectful. I'll simply say that there were lifestyle changes that he would have to make if we were going to live together and do it properly. I have a house where it¹s about my kids and me. I don't have people knocking on my door at 3 and 4 in the morning. I have a very simple life—I don't have a ton of people looking after my kids—I'm a very regular person when it comes to that because I want my kids to have a normal life as much as possible.

Usher’s new bride, Tameka Foster, has a shocking criminal past that she has kept secret from the R&B singer, The Enquirer learned.
Tameka is an ex-con whose first lover was gunned down in a drug-related execution-style shooting.
“Poor Usher has no idea who he’s marrying,” Temeka’s half sister Valencia Foster told The Enquirer. “He’s a wonderful guy- but Tameka is giving him a big-time snow job.”
The scene for deception was set at a “getting to know the in-laws” dinner in Tameka’s hometown of Oakland, Calif., on July 7 as the couple finalized plans for a July 28 wedding.
Valencia, 49, explained that Usher led a prayer before dinner, then turned to her and said: “’You know all the family secrets- tell me about them.’ Before I could say a word, Tameka kicked me so hard under the table she almost put a hole in my leg,” Valencia said.
“Then she pulled me aside and whispered: ‘Don’t tell him anything.’”
Tameka, fleeing from a troubled home life, moved in with Valencia when she was 11. “She arrived with $14 in food stamps in her purse,” recalled Valencia. “She turned out to be a nightmare.”
By 14, she had become involved with a married drug dealer five years older than her, Valencia says.
“I banned him from the house – but four years later she was pregnant with his baby when his car was ambushed and he was riddled with bullets. Tameka missed being with him in the car by minutes.”
Court records show that Tameka has been arrested twice. In 1991, she served 20 days in the Los Angeles County Jail for petty theft and was placed on probation for two years. Records indicate she had previously served jail time.
An earlier arrest in Alameda County, Calif., involved “some kind of welfare fraud, and she was sentenced to perform community service,” said Valencia.
Tameka, Usher’s former wardrobe stylist, has three children and is expecting the singer’s baby in the fall. Usher, 28, recently shocked fans by reportedly firing his manager mother and replacing her with Tameka.
The 36-year-old bride asked her father, John Foster, to give her away at the wedding in the Hampton’s, the tony New York enclave. But Tameka threatened to ban her mom from the ceremony- because she had lost her false teeth!
“Tameka told her: ‘You’re not coming to my wedding without teeth,’” Valencia said.
“I asked her why she didn’t buy her mother a new set, and she told me: ‘Let her get her own (bleeping) teeth- she didn’t take care of me when I was young.’”
Valencia says Tameka’s mom bought the new teeth herself- and she believes one day Usher will discover the truth about his new bride.
“Usher is so much in love he’s under her spell,” she said. “But he’s going to find out she’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

Less than two weeks after being named CEO of Vibe Media Group, Steve Aaron announced Vibe would fold Vibe Vixen, the female counterpart to urban music and lifestyle magazine Vibe. Believe it or not, Jaslene Gonzalez can eat. She's even got a $100,000 CoverGirl contract and a few magazine covers under her belt. But underneath it all, there's the soul of a fighter. In fact, the Chicagoan was sent home after auditioning for Cycle 7 because the show's producers insisted she get professional help to deal with the emotional damage caused from an abusive relationship in her past. And help she got: from a therapist, from her big Puerto Rican family and, most important, from herself. Finally, this past May, she got her victory. Evidently, some things are worth the wait.

A witness said, "The gig became absolutely awful. Members of her entourage were coming on to the stage, obviously worried she couldn't go on, and she would just shout "fuck off" at them. Everyone in the crowd just felt sorry for her."That's just nasty! I'd cut a bitch...I don't care how good the chick can sing!
Her spokesbitch said, "Amy was annoyed with herself. She is a bit ring rusty after not having played for a while and was upset after making a few mistakes in the set."

“We went in the studio and recorded a couple records that were incredible,” he said. “But, to put it nicely, it’s dead. Me and [Wyclef Jean], we on the same page, but Lauryn [Hill] is in her zone, and I’m fed up with that shit. Here she is, blessed with a gift, with the opportunity to rock and give, and she’s running on some bullshit? I’m a fan of Lauryn’s, but I can’t respect that.”

TMZ has confirmed Dave Chappelle went to the hospital this past weekend because he was wacked out. But Chappelle's rep told TMZ any wackiness was due to exhaustion -- not drugs.
The rep says Dave went to the emergency room for "physical exhaustion." She says he was treated with "food, water and sleep" for about 12 hours and then went home.

Oprah Winfrey suffered a huge heartbreak when one of her beloved pooches died in a freak accident. Gracie, a golden retriever who was the littlest of Oprah's three pups, was killed when Oprah's dog walker took the three dogs out for an evening stroll.Leave it to Oprah to find a lesson learned in the midst of tragedy...So sad...You know her pups are her children!
Oprah got a call twenty minutes later saying Gracie was not breathing. "I ran barefoot out of the house and found the dog walker and one of my security guys pumping her chest," Oprah says in the August issue of O, The Oprah Magazine. "Just as I reached them, the security guard looked up... 'She's gone."
Gracie had chocked on a plastic ball that belonged to Oprah's much older cocker spaniel, Sophie. Oprah immediately felt the loss of her favorite pup. She was flooded with "tears and stabbing pain and disbelief and wonder and questions about how and why this happened."
Though Oprah's in pain, she believes a lesson can be learned from all of this. "Slow down, you're moving too fast... Thank you for being my saving Gracie."

The guys from Oscar-winning rap group Three 6 Mafia had a real tough day on Friday -- being forced to hang out in a sick Los Angeles pad with a bikini-clad model. Terrible.
Karl Kani, the self-proclaimed "godfather of urban fashion," held the 11-hour shoot, requiring the rappers to kick it on comfy couches while plenty of eye candy kept them company. Yeah, real hard out there for pimps!

"She's on Island, but it's more or less [Def Jam CEO Antonio "L.A." Reid's] project," Dupri says. "I let him deal with that on a day-to-day basis. He's going to A&R that project, too. Janet's record is one that he's wanted to do for a long time. He's very passionate about it.[SOURCE]
Jackson's departure from Virgin comes in the wake of two consecutive commercial disappointments: 2004's "Damita Jo" and last year's "20 Y.O." Her departure from the label was widely rumored after Dupri exited the company late last year to become president of Island Urban.

"To answer all the rumors that's been out there about Aubrey and D. Woods pursuing their solo careers. We support them in their decision. However, myself, Aundrea and Shannon are choosing to continue in our efforts to make Danity Kane the best for our fans who love us and what we represent AND the respect we have for our group."
"Sorry you guys were so confused!!hahahaha Danity Kane is together. We are good. We are supporting each other in all we do."
"Danity Kane is together. We have been supporting each other in all our endeavors and now are concentrating on the next album. Our fans are important and we want them to know we are fine and ready to move forward and would appreciate if the rumors would stop so we can move forward with great music."There's clearly been some miscommunication among the group and with the poor promotions of DK by Bad Boy, the group is definitely facing a battle back to the top. Currently Dawn is writing new music for the next album...I hope they get it together because the talent is there, they have a huge fan base, and if given the amount of care as Press Play they can have another hit album...Check out these exclusive songs written by Dawn, produced by Adam Blackstone and Jim Johnsin [also produced Showstopper]...
