Who can forget the dude that put the light skinned brothas on the map? Well the young kids may not know just who Al B. Sure is, but if you ever wondered what he has been up to, EURweb caught up the the former heartthrob..."And we've got Al B. working on the new album, which is called 'Honey I'm Home.' It's been quite a while, but its coming. Everybody I run in to, from Anthony Anderson to Michael Jackson, are asking me 'When're you going to come with the new album. I really love it and appreciate it. It's about time now. I've lost all the weight and it's time to do it."
He's currently a popular radio show host from 9 am to 12 pm on LA radio station Hot 92.3. It's a job Al B. Sure says he enjoys greatly. By the way, radio and CDs aren't the only mediums he's dabbling in these days.
"Definitely, Hot 92.3 has been a blessing to me. I talk to (millions) of people everyday. I'm definitely keeping the radio gig. But I'm also in a new straight to DVD film with Blair Underwood. It's called 'The Hit' and it's on CodeBlack/Universal. It also stars DeRay Davis and James Russo from 'The Godfather.' It's a nice little joint."

Angie Stone on what happened with her and D'Angelo:
"Ain't nothin' happen with us. I never really say nothin' negative about him, but he's on my shit list right now."
Angie Stone on whether or not she spoke with D'Angelo following his car accident:
"Of course. I have a son with him, so I had to speak to him. I'm very upset with him these days. I usually uphold him and try to keep him in the best light possible. I'm really not feeling him right now and he really needs to get his shit together."
Angie goes on to discuss her disappointment in her former label J Records releasing a "Greatest Hits" album:
"That was J Records' way of killing my career. All of it was strategically designed to bring closure. When they decide to do that, it wasn't my decision. That was J Records saving money and saying, 'You know what? We're not gonna spend a lot of money on this album, so let's do a greatest hits.' That was the prelude to the kiss of goodbye. I asked for a release, but they gave me no choice. Wouldn't you have asked for a release if somebody put out a greatest hits album of you? That means that's the final chapter, right? So if that's what you're trying to tell me, you ain't gotta do it that way. Just let me go...but guess what? I got a call from Clive Davis last week. They changed that tune real quick with a number two record on the charts...about to be number one."
And did Angie take Clive's call?
"I ain't even take the phone call. I listened to the message and laughed. I guess their greatest hits ended there."

ESSENCE.COM: Why were you so intent in fighting your sentence, instead of just taking a plea deal like the other young men did?
WILSON: I couldn't allow myself to be portrayed and be cast aside as a sex offender. I love and adore my little sister, and I want to have kids of my own someday, and as a sex offender you can't be around little kids.
ESSENCE.COM: What's next for you?
WILSON: I'm definitely looking forward to going to college. I want to try to get in as soon as possibleI hope by January, but if not, whenever I can get in and wherever I can go I'll just be grateful for it. I want to major in sociology. I feel like I would fit perfectly in that area just because of my experience and what I've been through.
ESSENCE: Do you feel that your two years in prison was worth making a point and avoiding that label?
WILSON: Yes. And I'm glad that no one else will have to go through what I went through. Maybe one day I might have prevented my son or my nephews or somebody else from getting caught up in a similar situation.
ESSENCE: What was prison like for you? How did the other prisoners treat you?
WILSON: I had a lot of support. But just like you have a lot of support, you always have people against you as well that don't want to see you do good because they're in a bad situation.

Vogue's Andre Leon Talley once again got his big fashion paws on "American Idol" alum Jennifer Hudson, squeezing her into a tight gold gown at the Fashion Group International's Night of Star's gala Thursday at Cipriani. The Oscar winner walked the red carpet with Talley, but once inside cozied up to her new man, New York Jets free safety Kerri Rhodes. "He followed right behind her in a separate car, but when they were inside they were holding hands all night and taking trips to the bathroom together," said a spy.I am going to need Jennifer to let loose Andre, as fashionable as he may make Vogue, he clearly doesn't understand the power of a good girdle! He is notorious for stuffing her in some atrocity. He is still on the shitlist for that Dr. Spock bolero at the Oscars. As for a new beau? The court ruled 4-3 that Genarlow Wilson’s 10-year sentence was cruel and unusual punishment. Wilson’s lawyer, B.J. Bernstein, said she expected Wilson would be released Friday afternoon from the Al Burruss Correctional Training Center in Forsyth, Ga.Read more at MSNBC
Wilson, 21, was convicted of aggravated child molestation following a 2003 New Year’s Eve party at a Douglas County hotel room where he was videotaped having oral sex with a 15-year-old girl. He was 17 at the time.
The 1995 law Wilson violated was changed in 2006 to make oral sex between teens close in age a misdemeanor, similar to the law regarding teen sexual intercourse. But the state Supreme Court later upheld a lower court’s ruling which said that the 2006 law could not be applied retroactively.

Is there a character in American Gangster you would parallel to your days in the trap? The police were clearly on him and his bodyguard did anything for a dollar...F'ed up situation!
I can’t even compare myself back in that day simply because it was a whole other day and age. When I was doin’ it, it was chaos. Real talk, it was easier then, too. Not taking nothing away from them ’cause they started it, but the police wasn’t hip to everything. By the time I started hustling, the police had cameras, the Internet, and forensics. [Back then] you could kill a nigga at six o’clock in the morning on his doorstep and long as nobody seen you, you good. Now you got cameras on street lights. I feel like if I was a hustler back then, I’d have a way better shot at it. People actually respected the game. Whereas when I was a hustler, a nigga would do anything for a dollar. Period.

Lawyers for Harris proposed that he be released on a $2.2 million bond, which included separate bonds backed by his record company, record company executives. Harris also agreed to post the equity of his two homes, which his lawyer, Ed Garland, estimated are worth about $1.5 million. The kicker is that the prosecution made it clear in court that this is still an ongoing investigation and more charges may come! Damn Clifford, just plain 'ole damn!
Garland also said Harris would agree to stay in his home with 24-hour-a-day electronic and human monitoring.
But Baverman said he wants more information about who will be chosen as Harris's monitor, who would live inside Harris's home and how they would search visitors and alert authorities if Harris violated any conditions. The judge said he wants to consider a list of companies that do such monitoring and hear details about them.
Baverman also set these tentative conditions if he does grant bond: Harris must post a $2 million cash bond plus the equity in all properties he owns. He must be locked down in his house 24/7; have an electronic monitoring device; consent to any searches; be screened for unlawful drug use; remove any safes in the home; and be allowed to live with only his girlfriend and children. ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What's going on here? Why so many delays with this album? Are you scrapping the whole thing and starting over?So when can you expect to see that release? Early 2008 she says. You read more at EW.com
EVE: No, I'm not completely starting over. I'm definitely gonna keep some of the records that I had because I love a lot of the stuff that I did. So I'm keeping a lot of it. I'm just going back in to kinda make it a well-rounded album. I think what kind of delayed us this time was that I went in and did two records that sound a lot like the Pharrell record — the singing record.... I don't think the movement was right and I'd rather put out an album and feel 100 percent connected to it than just to put out an album, especially the way music is right now.

K- But just because you weren’t at the trial everyday doesn’t mean you weren’t riding for the team.

M.B.: I feel very good about it. It’s encouraging to know that so many people are standing behind you and still believe in helping each other. It’s great to see all the civil rights leaders, people in high places and all the thousands of people who came to the march. You sometimes forget that people still love each other like that. We need more of that in the world.
Essence.com: How has this experience changed you?
M.B.: It opened my eyes to see that you can’t trust everybody because everybody’s not your friend. Things can happen to you in the blink of an eye. Your life can change in one day. It made me think about life more and getting my kids together and getting them right with God. We’re with God, but getting them straighter with God. And I realize that your kids can be taken from you with a stroke of a pen.

"I heard that I had a heart attack earlier, but I didn't," Brown told [EURweb] during a phone call Wednesday afternoon....but here's the gotcha gotcha [yeah I resurrected the Boom Kack vocab] X17 has pictures of Bobby B. in the hospital look more telling than a "pre-show check up" and who goes to a hospital for a check-up, you typically go to the doctor's office, right? Hmm...Can I get a nurse to clue me in on all these cords and IVs!
However, the 38-year-old singer said he went to the hospital for a simple pre-tour check-up – "I gotta make sure my vitals and everything is straight" – and next thing he knew, folks were reporting that he had suffered a heart attack.
"That's what happens when you're Bobby Brown," he joked. "I just had some procedures done. The doc cleared me and said, you know, [go] do what I do."
"But everything's all right with me. I got a clean bill of health and everything's fine," he says. "I’m ready to get on this road and do these shows and take care of what I gotta take care of."

Industry insiders told Page Six that though the R&B star had been planning to drop a record next month, "it's not happening anymore" due to "issues in his personal life" relating to new wife Ta meka Foster. According to the source, "Usher only listens to Tameka now, and she wants all Usher's focus to be on her and the baby."His album would potentially flop anyway with all the foolery that's gone down over the last year! He needs to chillax and come back after the dust settles...
"The album had been in the works for over a year," the insider dished. "He put it on the back burner when Tameka got pregnant . . . now it looks like it's never going to happen." [SOURCE]

According to her response, obtained by TMZ, Shaunie O'Neal also slam-dunks any notion, as Shaq had alleged in his own divorce petition, that she was "secretive" about her assets and also says she hasn't done anything "untoward with assets or monies" that belonged to Big Daddy. Shaq had alleged that Shaunie had put some of their money in "other entities," about which she says she knows nothing.
Mrs. O'Neal also adds that all of Shaq's sharp legal elbows have caused her "emotional pain and embarrassment."

On once being an atheist: "I was depressed and high on cocaine and feeling like I wanted to kill myself. I felt like I need to make a change. I remember I challenged God. I said if you're real, then I need you to do this, this and this. I told a friend … when I called myself challenging God, God was really drawing me in. He was saying it was time for this Tasha to come out of this dark place and that's what his grace ended up doing to my life. During this time, I wasn't working, working, but I was doing my comedy. I think that the anger, the rejection and the disappointment of Christianity in people that I saw who seemed to be very religious kind of drove me away. I don't even know looking back if it was something that I really believed. I hoped that there was a God, but I think that my disappointment caused me to say it can't be 'cause if you folks who claim to know Jesus are acting like that, it can't be true."
