Chris Brown will release his sophomore album Exclusive in less than a week on Nov. 6th after a few setbacks and lackluster reviews of recent releases. His fan base is huge, so I am sure he is in a good place, but I haven't been blown out of the water with what I've heard. "Kiss Kiss" has grown on me but with it being in the same vain as "Run It" it doesn't take him to a more mature level.

This is a newly leaked track called "Gimme Whatcha Got" featuring Weezy which was produced by Jazzy Pha. He's seems to be straining vocally but I do like the melody and the chorus is pretty hot!

"And we've got Al B. working on the new album, which is called 'Honey I'm Home.' It's been quite a while, but its coming. Everybody I run in to, from Anthony Anderson to Michael Jackson, are asking me 'When're you going to come with the new album. I really love it and appreciate it. It's about time now. I've lost all the weight and it's time to do it."

He's currently a popular radio show host from 9 am to 12 pm on LA radio station Hot 92.3. It's a job Al B. Sure says he enjoys greatly. By the way, radio and CDs aren't the only mediums he's dabbling in these days.

"Definitely, Hot 92.3 has been a blessing to me. I talk to (millions) of people everyday. I'm definitely keeping the radio gig. But I'm also in a new straight to DVD film with Blair Underwood. It's called 'The Hit' and it's on CodeBlack/Universal. It also stars DeRay Davis and James Russo from 'The Godfather.' It's a nice little joint."

Love love love Diane Keaton and she teams up with Queen Latifah and Katie Holmes for the comedy Mad Money, which is about robbing the Federal Reserve. Queen loves stealing money, huh? Looks pretty funny. Opens in January of 2008!

In Daughters of Men, author Rachel Vassel has compiled dozens of stunning photographs and compelling personal essays about African-American women and their fathers. Whether it's a father who mentors his daughter's artistic eye by taking her to cultural events or one who unwaveringly supports a risky career move, the fathers in this book each had his own unique and successful style of parenting. The first book to showcase the importance of the black father's impact on the accomplishments of his daughter, Daughters of Men provides an intimate look at black fatherhood and the many ways fathers have a lasting impact on their daughters' lives.

More pushback for the Pussycat Doll-turned-solo...For the third time this fall, Nicole Scherzinger's debut CD is being pushed back again, this time to 2008, confirms Interscope. Her Name is Nicole, originally slated for an Oct. 6 release, was first rescheduled for Nov. 6. Then, facing stiff chart competition from Jay-Z and Chris Brown, it was moved to Nov. 20. Insiders say Scherzinger's team is "rethinking" the roll-out while leaving an option open for more studio time.

Hell yeah, Angie Stone has a shit list too?! Mine is ever growing and you know the B. Diddy stays on the top those lists. Angie talks about her B.Diddy formerly known as Sexual Chocolate, who now goes by Doughboy Angelo and her former label J Records with HHNLive.com:
Angie Stone on what happened with her and D'Angelo:

"Ain't nothin' happen with us. I never really say nothin' negative about him, but he's on my shit list right now."

Angie Stone on whether or not she spoke with D'Angelo following his car accident:

"Of course. I have a son with him, so I had to speak to him. I'm very upset with him these days. I usually uphold him and try to keep him in the best light possible. I'm really not feeling him right now and he really needs to get his shit together."

Angie goes on to discuss her disappointment in her former label J Records releasing a "Greatest Hits" album:

"That was J Records' way of killing my career. All of it was strategically designed to bring closure. When they decide to do that, it wasn't my decision. That was J Records saving money and saying, 'You know what? We're not gonna spend a lot of money on this album, so let's do a greatest hits.' That was the prelude to the kiss of goodbye. I asked for a release, but they gave me no choice. Wouldn't you have asked for a release if somebody put out a greatest hits album of you? That means that's the final chapter, right? So if that's what you're trying to tell me, you ain't gotta do it that way. Just let me go...but guess what? I got a call from Clive Davis last week. They changed that tune real quick with a number two record on the charts...about to be number one."

And did Angie take Clive's call?

"I ain't even take the phone call. I listened to the message and laughed. I guess their greatest hits ended there."

This young man gets my respect for standing up for his rights and fighting for his justice. He spoke with Essence.com about his fight for justice and his future.

Genarlow Wilson spent New Year's Eve 2003 at a wild hotel bash with a group of fellow teens in Atlanta. After the party which involved sex, alcohol and a notorious videotape he and five other boys were charged with child molestation under a Georgia law that made having oral sex with anyone under 16 a felony. (Since then, the law has been repealed.) Wilson, then 17, had engaged in consensual oral sex with a 15-year-old girl.

Refusing to take a plea deal and be branded a sex offender for life, the honor student and star athlete was slapped with a ten-year prison sentence. He served two years behind bars. On Friday, October 26, hours after the Georgia Supreme Court said his sentence was too harsh, Wilson, now 21, walked out of prison and into the arms of his family.

Here are a few snippets of his first print interview:
ESSENCE.COM: Why were you so intent in fighting your sentence, instead of just taking a plea deal like the other young men did?
WILSON: I couldn't allow myself to be portrayed and be cast aside as a sex offender. I love and adore my little sister, and I want to have kids of my own someday, and as a sex offender you can't be around little kids.

ESSENCE.COM: What's next for you?
WILSON: I'm definitely looking forward to going to college. I want to try to get in as soon as possibleI hope by January, but if not, whenever I can get in and wherever I can go I'll just be grateful for it. I want to major in sociology. I feel like I would fit perfectly in that area just because of my experience and what I've been through.

ESSENCE: Do you feel that your two years in prison was worth making a point and avoiding that label?

WILSON: Yes. And I'm glad that no one else will have to go through what I went through. Maybe one day I might have prevented my son or my nephews or somebody else from getting caught up in a similar situation.

ESSENCE: What was prison like for you? How did the other prisoners treat you?
WILSON: I had a lot of support. But just like you have a lot of support, you always have people against you as well that don't want to see you do good because they're in a bad situation.

Jennifer Hudson at Tiffany & Co. 2008 Blue Book Collection

Hmmm...if you believe Page Six, Jennifer Hudson was spotted getting close to a certain football player?!
Vogue's Andre Leon Talley once again got his big fashion paws on "American Idol" alum Jennifer Hudson, squeezing her into a tight gold gown at the Fashion Group International's Night of Star's gala Thursday at Cipriani. The Oscar winner walked the red carpet with Talley, but once inside cozied up to her new man, New York Jets free safety Kerri Rhodes. "He followed right behind her in a separate car, but when they were inside they were holding hands all night and taking trips to the bathroom together," said a spy.
I am going to need Jennifer to let loose Andre, as fashionable as he may make Vogue, he clearly doesn't understand the power of a good girdle! He is notorious for stuffing her in some atrocity. He is still on the shitlist for that Dr. Spock bolero at the Oscars. As for a new beau? Ehhh...I hope she didn't let her high school sweetie go, that would be f*cked up!

Oprah Winfrey begged for forgiveness with tears in her eyes as she spoke to parents of students at her all-girls school in South Africa on Sunday.

The talk show queen addressed the parents during the emergency meeting, which was called after allegations of abuse surfaced at the school, which opened in January.

“I’ve disappointed you. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry,” Oprah told the families in Henley-on-Klip, south of Johannesburg, the South African news site News24.com reported.

Oprah had visited the school twice in the past few weeks, after allegations that one of the employees fondled a female student and that other students had been physically abused.

Prior to the alleged fondling incident, Oprah had placed the school’s principal, Dr. Mzimane, and at least one other employee on leave two weeks ago.

“I trusted her. When I appointed her, I thought she was passionate about the children of Africa,” an emotional Oprah said last week of Mzimane. “But I’ve been disappointed.”

According to local news reports, the father of one of the girls told Oprah the parents aren’t blaming her for the problems.

“It’s not your fault. We don’t blame you,” the father reportedly told her. “You trusted them. You have more passion for the school and its existence than anyone else in this country, including us parents.”

Kelis has found herself without a label after being dropped from Jive. The less than stellar sales of her 2006 album Kelis Was Here could one of the main reason's she was given the boot. Not originally signed to Jive, she was shifted to Jive after the SonyBMG merger.
"It was a case of being in the ever-shrinking world of the record industry and finding herself on a label she wasn't signed to and without a champion," says Kelis' manager, Jeff Rabhan. "She's a different kind of artist — very image and style-driven. It's either something you get or you don't."

Kelis has been working on an indie dance record with Cee-Lo. A full-on pop effort with Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams) will be shopped around soon. "We're not opposed to another major label deal, but it would have to be non-traditional," adds Rabhan. Kelis is also in talks to host a Project Runway-like show on VH1 and is auditioning for numerous TV and film roles [SOURCE]

As if we need more proof that the juvenile justice system isn't f*cked up enough, the Georgia Supreme Court has just overturned the conviction of Genarlow Wilson after spending two-plus years in prison for having consensual sex with another [white] teenager.
The court ruled 4-3 that Genarlow Wilson’s 10-year sentence was cruel and unusual punishment. Wilson’s lawyer, B.J. Bernstein, said she expected Wilson would be released Friday afternoon from the Al Burruss Correctional Training Center in Forsyth, Ga.

Wilson, 21, was convicted of aggravated child molestation following a 2003 New Year’s Eve party at a Douglas County hotel room where he was videotaped having oral sex with a 15-year-old girl. He was 17 at the time.

The 1995 law Wilson violated was changed in 2006 to make oral sex between teens close in age a misdemeanor, similar to the law regarding teen sexual intercourse. But the state Supreme Court later upheld a lower court’s ruling which said that the 2006 law could not be applied retroactively.

Just as T.I. awaits his next bail hearing to determine if he will be released on house arrest, Complex has released the cover of the November issue to which T.I. is featured.

In one of the more interesting quotes:
Is there a character in American Gangster you would parallel to your days in the trap?
I can’t even compare myself back in that day simply because it was a whole other day and age. When I was doin’ it, it was chaos. Real talk, it was easier then, too. Not taking nothing away from them ’cause they started it, but the police wasn’t hip to everything. By the time I started hustling, the police had cameras, the Internet, and forensics. [Back then] you could kill a nigga at six o’clock in the morning on his doorstep and long as nobody seen you, you good. Now you got cameras on street lights. I feel like if I was a hustler back then, I’d have a way better shot at it. People actually respected the game. Whereas when I was a hustler, a nigga would do anything for a dollar. Period.
The police were clearly on him and his bodyguard did anything for a dollar...F'ed up situation!

The down-and-out diva, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was removed from the general population and locked away in a segregated cell for 76 days beginning Oct. 16 after committing three violations at Rikers Island this month, sources told The Post yesterday.

The first incident occurred on Oct. 3 while Foxy and another female inmate were headed to the dining hall for a meal in the Rose M. Singer facility, the sources said.

They started shoving each other for reasons that were not immediately clear, prompting correction officers to jump in and separate the two before things turned bloody, officials said.

The next day, Foxy was verbally abusive toward correction officers and also refused to take a random drug test, the sources said. [SOURCE]
Foxy may face more discipline after authories review the incident where she refused to board a Rikers Island bus at least twice to go to a scheduled Brooklyn court date on Oct. 12, to change and do her make-up!

Beyonce is overseas, just getting into her world tour and made a very important visit to Ethiopia, which is celebrating its 2000th Birthday. Despite the country's lack of love for Western music, about 5,000 fans showed up for the Millennium Bash and was welcomed with a massive applause. Both the Black Eyed Peas, who performed last months, and her opening act, Ludacris, were met with a luke warm reception.
I want to thank you," the R&B star told the screaming crowd Saturday evening in return. "You have been one of the best audiences of my lifetime."

In a country where many women wear simple white, cotton dresses, Beyonce wore costumes covered in sequins or shiny, space-age material, from a modern interpretation of a hula girl with shiny black tendrils replacing the grass skirt to a high-necked Victorian-style top paired with sequined hotpants. Our favorite soulful trainwreck Any Winehouse was arrested and held overnight for possession of marijuana in Norway.
Winehouse and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, were released at around 7 a.m. Friday after paying $715 each in fines, prosecutor Lars Morten Lothe said. A third person, also released, was fined $492, he said.

The trio were arrested shortly after 6 p.m. at a hotel in Bergen in southwestern Norway, where Winehouse is on a European tour, after a tip to police.

"They were found with seven grams (about 1/4-ounce) of marijuana," Lothe said. "She's paid the fine, so this thing is over for us now."

Looks like T.I. will stay in jail for at least another week after appearing in court to plead not guilty today and the judge denied immediate release on bond, though another court date has been scheduled for next Friday. Judge Alan Baverman will allow his 'dream' legal team another week to satisfy his requirements to release T.I. on house arrest.
Lawyers for Harris proposed that he be released on a $2.2 million bond, which included separate bonds backed by his record company, record company executives. Harris also agreed to post the equity of his two homes, which his lawyer, Ed Garland, estimated are worth about $1.5 million.

Garland also said Harris would agree to stay in his home with 24-hour-a-day electronic and human monitoring.

But Baverman said he wants more information about who will be chosen as Harris's monitor, who would live inside Harris's home and how they would search visitors and alert authorities if Harris violated any conditions. The judge said he wants to consider a list of companies that do such monitoring and hear details about them.

Baverman also set these tentative conditions if he does grant bond: Harris must post a $2 million cash bond plus the equity in all properties he owns. He must be locked down in his house 24/7; have an electronic monitoring device; consent to any searches; be screened for unlawful drug use; remove any safes in the home; and be allowed to live with only his girlfriend and children. T.I. has enlisted serious heavy hitting lawyers to lead his defense team while facing federal firearm charges. In addition to his lawyers Ed Garland and longtime partner Don Samuel, T.I. has hired Steve Sadow and Dwight Thomas.
"[Sadow] and I have known each other a very long time, and both my partner [Samuel] and I have worked together with him on many cases," Garland said Wednesday night.

All four lawyers are no stranger to big-headline cases.

One of Garland's most famous clients, NFL star Ray Lewis, walked away from a murder charge in 2000 by pleading to a misdemeanor.

Garland and Samuel also defended millionaire investor James Sullivan, who was sentenced to life in prison without parole, in the 1987 murder-for-hire of his wife, Lita.

For his part, Sadow was the lead attorney in the high-profile racketeering case involving the Gold Club, an Atlanta strip club that catered to famous athletes. [SOURCE]

While Rolling Stone previewed Jay Z's American Gangster album the Patron began to flow and so did Jay Z about everything from his faux retirements to being 'Ye big brother...
On Kanye West's 'Big Brother' record:
“Not everything on the song was true, but it was true in his mind,” said Jay. “He says ‘Carleen said I could buy two tickets.’ You would think he didn’t get any tickets. I gave him four, he wanted six. It was a charity event! And Coldplay — I introduced him to Coldplay, I gave him the number! But I thought it was a brilliant song. It brought us closer together.”

On Kingdom Come:
“Maybe it was too sophisticated. Maybe I fucked up.”

On Hip Hop:
“When a guy says ‘I could make a million saying nothing’ on a track, you know you’ve reached a bad place,” he said. “It’s way past salvaging. I’m going the other way. That’s why [my album] is the way it is.”

On his admitted embarrassment on retiring:
“I was watching Fade to Black on VH1, and I was cringing, because I kept saying, ‘It may be the last album’ — I’ve made two albums already!” he says, laughing. “When I put The Black Album out, I said I wasn’t going to say that anymore. I just stopped talking. Nobody believes it. Not even you.”

...lovin' the cut!

Cheri Dennis is finally looking like she might actually get released! She's dropped a new song called "Portrait of Love" from her debut album on Bad Boy. It features Yung Joc and Gorilla Zoe. Her new release date is January 29th [which she mentioned at the Unforgivable launch party] though her official website lists February 2008. Either way, first quarter '08 looks to be the time she'll get released.

This first single is really good, though I was expecting a little more, not sure what but it's lacking a little punch. The melody great though, it's a nice mid-tempo song. Plus, you know Diddy is notorious for putting a rapper on an R&B single but I could have done without the verse. I caught her live in New Orleans last year and this girl can sing!

Entertainment Weekly caught up with Eve asked the burning quesion...Why?
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What's going on here? Why so many delays with this album? Are you scrapping the whole thing and starting over?

EVE: No, I'm not completely starting over. I'm definitely gonna keep some of the records that I had because I love a lot of the stuff that I did. So I'm keeping a lot of it. I'm just going back in to kinda make it a well-rounded album. I think what kind of delayed us this time was that I went in and did two records that sound a lot like the Pharrell record — the singing record.... I don't think the movement was right and I'd rather put out an album and feel 100 percent connected to it than just to put out an album, especially the way music is right now.
So when can you expect to see that release? Early 2008 she says. You read more at EW.com

Yet again, someone else is claiming that Diddy [and his bodyguards] put a whopping on them...A New York man claims that after a heated discussion at Koisk in SoHo, Diddy left and came back with his men and punched in the mouth. Diddy claims it was a disagreement between acquaintances and not criminal assault... Word is he will
Law enforcement officials confirmed news accounts Tuesday that Combs, 37, was the alleged assailant. Investigators were seeking to locate more witnesses before questioning Combs, said officials, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the investigation hadn’t not been completed.

The 31-year-old man told police that he and Combs had been arguing over a woman before Combs punched him in the face, the officials said. [SOURCE]
On top of all that...Earlier this month, a hip-hop promoter filed a $5 million lawsuit against Diddy, claiming that he had 3 of his bodyguards rough him up in a nightspot called The Box! And let's not forget the assault claims earlier this year by another man who said Diddy popped in the face when he tried to get girlfriend to leave.

Why is it that Diddy keeps getting involved in foolery at clubs and assaults? I just can't see him getting all that violent, he really looks like he would be too afraid to break a nail or something!

The Dream is steady banging out more addictive tracks as he prepares for his December 11th release on Def Jam, LOVE/HATE. His debut hit, "Shawty is a Ten" gets a 'surprise' visit from R. K- When we talked to Irv Gotti, he said you were doing your own thing and that you felt you’d outgrown The Inc. Is that accurate?

A- Uh, how do I address this? I feel like, creatively, I wanted to try some new stuff, just to see, because there was a lot of stuff going on. Now, I wasn’t on trial, so obviously Irv’s focus and my focus were a little bit different.

K- But just because you weren’t at the trial everyday doesn’t mean you weren’t riding for the team.

First, T.I. was in a squabble at ATL's popular strip club, Body Tap where he tried to knock some dudes head off with a bottle, but today he was arrested and his home searched on firearm charges...
Rapper T.I., whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr., was arrested this afternoon in Atlanta. The ATF executed a search warrant at his home, and according to Atlanta's FOX 5 News, T.I., remains in custody.

The agencies at the scene of the federal search warrant include: The ATF, U.S. Marshalls: Fugitive Task Force, Fulton County SWAT, Fulton County PD, Dekalb County PD, and the ATF/Atlanta PD Violent Crime Impact Team.

The U.S. Attorney's office will neither confirm nor deny anything about the investigation. [SOURCE]
Damn shame, again!

Update...It gets deeper! The ATF says T.I. had his bodyguard try to buy machine guns and silencers [side-eye on the at one]...
According to the Feds, T.I,, whose real name is Clifford Harris, was busted after they learned one of his bodyguards was allegedly trying to purchase machine guns for the musician. Authorities say the bodyguard admitted to purchasing about nine firearms for T.I. in the past and about 17 firearms for other people in the musician's posse on previous occasions. The bodyguard claims the rapper gave him cash to purchase the guns, because T.I., as a convicted felon, was not able to legally buy firearms. The bodyguard was arrested last week trying to buy several guns. After his arrest, the bodyguard agreed to cooperate with authorities-- that cooperation led to today's arrest. [READ MORE]

Tameka and Usher are trying really hard to stay in the press, then wonder why people talk about the foolery that has become their relationship. They are covering the November issue of Essence Magazine to talk more about what they want us to believe...you know like that they are utterly in love! You'd think he had an album actually coming out the way they are working the spotlight! Check out a snippet of whats to come in the issue...
Usher on how the media and bloggers reacted negatively to the news of his engagement to Tameka Foster:
“It was like, wow. (Getting married) and having a child is something that everyone should celebrate. What’s happened to us as a culture and a people? I’m not ignorant, so I’m not going to go out there and lash out….”

Usher on how he and Tameka have stayed strong:

“Ours is not a typical love story, but it is a true one. Tameka and I have been fortunate enough to go through the thick of it in the beginning. We’ve had that opportunity to huddle up as a team, to make sure that we’re clear and speak as one voice.”

Tameka on when she knew to trust her instincts, instead of her girlfriends, about starting a relationship with her future husband:
“Thank God I didn’t listen to my girlfriends…. Usher was my road dawg. I’d seen him love, and I’d watched him date women who were not worthy of him. He was so sweet, going out of his way to cater to their every need. And I’d see them not even be grateful.” [READ MORE @ ESSENCE]

Mychal Bell, the Jena, La teen at the center of the Jena 6 Movement is back in jail after being sentenced for a previous charges. Bell was in juvenile court Thursday expecting another routine hearing, said Carol Powell Lexing, one of Bell’s attorneys.

Instead, after a six-hour hearing, state District Judge J.P. Mauffrey Jr. sentenced him to 18 months on two counts of simple battery and two counts of criminal destruction of property, Lexing said.
“He’s locked up again,” Marcus Jones said of his 17-year-old son. “No bail has been set or nothing. He’s a young man who’s been thrown in jail again and again, and he just has to take it.” [SOURCE]

Just as Bell was sent back to jail, Essence has releases an interview with his mother based on the Jena 6 injustice...

Essence.com: Are you surprised by the support you’ve received from around the country?

M.B.: I feel very good about it. It’s encouraging to know that so many people are standing behind you and still believe in helping each other. It’s great to see all the civil rights leaders, people in high places and all the thousands of people who came to the march. You sometimes forget that people still love each other like that. We need more of that in the world.

Essence.com: How has this experience changed you?

M.B.: It opened my eyes to see that you can’t trust everybody because everybody’s not your friend. Things can happen to you in the blink of an eye. Your life can change in one day. It made me think about life more and getting my kids together and getting them right with God. We’re with God, but getting them straighter with God. And I realize that your kids can be taken from you with a stroke of a pen.

Essence.com: And what about Mychal? Does he seem different?

M.B.: Yes, but not a lot different. He still likes having fun, talking and laughing with his friends, but being locked up for nine months made him grow up a lot quicker and become a man, a better person. He just knows how to handle life better.

Despite the rumors that there was a push back, Mary J. Blige’s upcoming album Growing Pains is still scheduled for a November 27th release date. The first single is “Just Fine” and was produced by Tricky Stewart and written by my boy The Dream.

The album also features collaborations with Ne-Yo, Stargate, Dre & Vidal, and Timbaland. The Ne-Yo-penned “Work in Progress” is a favorite of Mary’s, but she’s not sure if the song will be her second single. Other tracks set to be included on the album include “Roses,” “Talk to Me,” and “Feel Like a Woman.”

Soooo, remember how it was reported that Usher was on that 'shoop shoop' and holding off releasing his album because of Meka and the bambino...well word on the curb is that Mother Patton gave Tameka an earful which ended in a screamfest!
Two of the key women in R&B star and actor Usher's life are at it again. The entertainer's mother, Jonetta Patton, supposedly had a screaming match with his wife, Tameka Foster, after learning Usher had dropped plans to release a new record because Foster insisted he take a break from his career to concentrate on her and their baby, a son who's due in December.

Patton despises Foster for getting her fired as her son's manager but didn't hesitate to call her daughter-in-law to tell her she "is doing a great job destroying a talented artist's fantastic career." [SOURCE]

As you can see the first trend, right on time for the autumn season, is burgundy sweaters and sweater vests. Paired with a crisp dress shirt, gives you the prep in your step but you can add a jean, like Dreamgirl's Keith Robinson to keep is casual.

You can even get very feminine like Rih-Rih with a low-cut cleavage bearing blouse...Great for layering, which is a classic.

Bobby Brown reached out to EURweb.com to say that he didn't have a heart attack...
"I heard that I had a heart attack earlier, but I didn't," Brown told [EURweb] during a phone call Wednesday afternoon.

However, the 38-year-old singer said he went to the hospital for a simple pre-tour check-up – "I gotta make sure my vitals and everything is straight" – and next thing he knew, folks were reporting that he had suffered a heart attack.

"That's what happens when you're Bobby Brown," he joked. "I just had some procedures done. The doc cleared me and said, you know, [go] do what I do."

"But everything's all right with me. I got a clean bill of health and everything's fine," he says. "I’m ready to get on this road and do these shows and take care of what I gotta take care of."
...but here's the gotcha gotcha [yeah I resurrected the Boom Kack vocab] X17 has pictures of Bobby B. in the hospital look more telling than a "pre-show check up" and who goes to a hospital for a check-up, you typically go to the doctor's office, right? Hmm...Can I get a nurse to clue me in on all these cords and IVs!

Holding your breath for Ursh's new album? you can shoop shoop and exhale...I thought it was 'first comes marriage and then the baby in the carriage, and THEN the album..." but hey at least he has the second half down. Thanks to Tameka of course!
Industry insiders told Page Six that though the R&B star had been planning to drop a record next month, "it's not happening anymore" due to "issues in his personal life" relating to new wife Ta meka Foster. According to the source, "Usher only listens to Tameka now, and she wants all Usher's focus to be on her and the baby."

"The album had been in the works for over a year," the insider dished. "He put it on the back burner when Tameka got pregnant . . . now it looks like it's never going to happen." [SOURCE]

Tasha Smith, Tyra's good friend and actress most recently in Tyler Perry's new movie Why Did I Get Married?, had a sit down with Jawn Murray of BlackVoices and opens up about her past drug addiction, her fear of dogs and being Christian in Hollywood...
On once being an atheist: "I was depressed and high on cocaine and feeling like I wanted to kill myself. I felt like I need to make a change. I remember I challenged God. I said if you're real, then I need you to do this, this and this. I told a friend … when I called myself challenging God, God was really drawing me in. He was saying it was time for this Tasha to come out of this dark place and that's what his grace ended up doing to my life. During this time, I wasn't working, working, but I was doing my comedy. I think that the anger, the rejection and the disappointment of Christianity in people that I saw who seemed to be very religious kind of drove me away. I don't even know looking back if it was something that I really believed. I hoped that there was a God, but I think that my disappointment caused me to say it can't be 'cause if you folks who claim to know Jesus are acting like that, it can't be true."
