With OutKast's Idlewild movie coming out on DVD next month and André 3000 working on his new cartoon series, Big Boi is setting his sights on a solo album. It is due sometime in 2007, but Big has already promised diversity, including "something from every genre, every funk, beat, loop, horn, whistle." "I got maybe 35 beats already done for it now, so I'm just diving in and trying to carve out the pie with the vocals," he told MTV.com.

The CD will be along the same lines as Speakerboxxx, Big Boi's half of Outkast's 2003 album, and his counterpart André 3000 will contribute some production to the record. It should be out sometime next year, unless "they keep pulling me back and forth with these movies," Big Boi said. He is currently shooting the flick Who's Your Caddy? with Cedric the Entertainer, Faizon Love, Andy Milonakis and Finesse Mitchell.

"It's about a music mogul who tries to play golf in this exclusive golf community," he told MTV about the movie. "I go inside this country club and buy this huge house, and the 17th hole just happens to be on my property, so they got to let me in. There's a lot of antics with them trying to get me [kicked] out and things like that. It's seriously funny."

In addition to these projects, Big Boi also runs his own Purple Ribbon imprint and he's featured on Unk's "Walk It Out" remix as well as Fantasia's new single, "Hood Boy."
