Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland is preparing for the June release of her sophomore album Ms. Kelly.
Best known for her role in the multi-platinum, Grammy award-winning group, Destiny's Child, Rowland is going solo for the second time with her follow up to 2002's Simply Deep. Her current single with Eve, "Like This," was recently released to radio. A ringtone for the song was also made available on March 6.
"I have put my heart and soul into this record," Kelly said, via statement. "I am excited that everyone will hear it. I am completely exposed. It's the real me."
"Like This" is currently being touted on AOL Music's New Songs page and a version of the song is also available on Kelly's MySpace page. Plans have also been made for the release of her second single, "Ghetto," which features Snoop Dogg.
In addition to showcasing her singing talents, in recent years the multi-talented Rowland has acted in television and film roles, appearing in Freddy vs. Jason and The Seat Filler as well as guest appearances on "The Hughleys" and "American Dreams." Kelly is also currently a celebrity spokesperson for Soft Sheen-Carson's "Dark & Lovely" hair care products.
Kelly's second album Ms. Kelly is currently scheduled to drop on June 26 via Music World/Columbia Records.
