A very somber and visually fragile Corinne Bailey Rae emerged from her husband’s funeral at St. George’s Church yesterday. The last of 100-plus mourners, Corinne said her final good byes to Jason Rae, who died from a suspected drug overdose in March.

According to the UK Daily Mail, Corinne, along with friends including producer Mark Ronson, attended the wake which was held at the Wardrobe Bar, where Corinne and Jason held their wedding reception seven years ago. His drinking and drug use is said to have caused a rift with Corinne, however friends of the couple insist the marriage was strong.

It’s definitely a devastating situation for one of my favorite artists. Well wishes to the family.
