Bennett is currently signed to 306 Entertainment, owned by Paul Jones, a family friend. Bennett's mother Jamecia is also signed to the independent label. Bennett is working with Jon Jon Traxx, Darren Lighty, and Rodney Jerkins on her debut album, titled "Princess P" after the nickname used affectionately for her by Ryan Seacrest on American Idol. Bennett is co-writing the album with J. Issac, and says it is based on her experiences before, on, and after American Idol. The first single is "Dreamin", which will be released on iTunes in January, 2007. Two other songs which possibly will be included on the album are "B-Bye" and "Burnt Up". The R&B and pop album is slated for release in March.
"Dreamin" has lyrics which deal with Bennett's life, such as "they say, you're just too young girl..." which she was told by Cowell on the show, and "your daddy's gone girl, left you alone girl, raised by a single mother...".
