Jennifer Hudson won the awards for Best Supporting Actress and for the Breakthrough Performance at 72nd Annual New York Film Critics Circle Awards Gala at Supper Club in New York Jan. 7, 2007.

Forest Whitaker also won for Best Actor for his performance in Last King of Scotland.
