in Beverly Hills at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
The luncheon celebrated the ongoing legacy of Ms. Ruby Dee
, who launched and sustained a phenomenal career when there were not a variety of well developed or diverse roles for African Americans. Also honored were Jada Pinkett Smith, Jurnee Smollett
, and Suzanne de Passe
