I kept wondering if I had slept through a day a missed the divorce of Kimora Lee and Russell Simmons, but I was right. They never filed for divorce officially, well not until now. Kimora finally started the proceedings by filing for divorce yesterday in L.A after separating in March 2006.

According to People.com, court papers show that Kimora cites irreconcilable differences and asks for legal and physical custody of the couple's two daughters, Ming, 8, and Aoki, 5. She requests that Simmons, 50, get "reasonable child visitation … to be accompanied at all times by the children's nanny and security personnel.

I am sure this will add some fuel to the pregnancy rumors that she is constantly denying…Both she and Uncle Russ have moved on, but I know the legality of their split is going to be a financial nightmare. However, they have been able manage parenting those adorable daughters together without any drama.
