Will Smith took over the July 4th weekend at the box office for the fifth consecutive time with a $107.3 million opening of Hancock. This is also his eighth straight no. 1 movie debut! Talk about the billion dollar man. Plus, to top it off, the movie scored $78 overseas.

Will's Overbrook Entertainment is one of the production companies of the movie, so you know he is pretty ecstatic right about now.

I supported the film, catching it this opening week and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was a great movie despite what film critics have been saying, Will was hilarious... I think that people are not used to Will as an asshole, which Hancock is unequivocally. I love it though...

The plot twist is definitely a doozie, but I wasn't completely shocked. Without giving too much away, if you pay attention you'll see a connection early in the movie...Bottom line, go see the movie if you haven't already. If you have, how'd you like it??
