New music from J. Holiday! ...and it's about getting high, er or higher! No surprise but baby boy can sing about curtains and microwaves for me. I can see this is a mixtape joint or even maybe a album track. Not a single, though. Love the 70s funk sample as well.

Another track popped up this weekend from blog fave J. Holiday... "The Way it Was" is a hot ballad. You know he is good for a good babymaking slow jam. I am looking forward to more new material from him. There was word of a new album in the works, hopefully we'll get some more definitive info soon.

John Legend, Kanye, and Pharrell are so over it! Here is another track from John's upcoming release Evolver due out November October 28th. Beside Andre 3000 and 'Ye, Brandy is also slated to guest on the album.

"It's Over" give me a 90's R&B vibe...and I love the chorus, "Why'd you keep calling me?" Been there!

Jennifer Hudson and Fanstasia on one song...that's pretty awesome especially since the American Idol alums have battled rumors of high competition, namely the role of Effie in Dreamgirls. Howeverm, both have powerful voices and they both bring it on this new track from Jennifer's upcoming album called "I'm His Only Woman!"

The song is like "The Boy is Mine" meets Barbara Mandrell's "Woman to Woman." First they were fighting for the title of American Idol, now they are fighting for a man... *dead* @ "If this was 10 years ago, I would be at your front door ready to beat your ass!"

So you know I was hurt when I couldn't drop this off sooner, seeing that I am all about J. Holiday, but Gustav had me hemmed up in the country without a computer to work with. Anyhow, here we have a new track from J. Holiday titled "Fly" which is in the same vain as Mariah Carey's "Butterfly," having to let that person go... Been there, done that, got the shot glass!

It a slow ballad, and of course I love his vocals, I'm a huge fan of his voice. He recently hit up MySpace to say that he is currently working on his new album, the new single was set to drop in October, but someone may have beat him to it. Oh well, I love the joint.

T.I. brought it all out for Paper Trail, teaming up with some of the hottest artists in the industry. His album is so anticipated that tracks are leaking daily! His collaboration with Rihanna, "Live Your Life" taps into her rocker girl style. It catches your attention from the top.

Maybe they'll be performing this on the VMA and not "Swagger Like Us" or maybe both? Hmmm... I like it though!



A new Keri Hilson tracked also leaked, a slow ballad called "Slow Dance." The track is smooth, it reminds me Ciara's "Promise" a little, but her vocals are on point. I could see this as a single for her. The song was produced by The Royal Court.

Brandy is back and has teamed up with her old partner Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins for her first official single, "Right Here (Departed)" off her upcoming album. This will be her fifth studio album and it is very much a highly anticipated. This mid-tempo track is quite hot, I am feeling it off the first listen, almost classic Brandy. I'm such a stan for Brandy, though.

Knew it wouldn't be too long before new music dropped from Jay Z, with him being in the news everyday! Blueprint 3 is already in the works and the first song to drop is this new Kanye West produced track "Jocking." Jay Z recently surprised concert goers at the Glow in the Dark Tour at Madison Square Garden and previewed what's to come... I've read some reviews and I hear people say they love it, then people are yelling for Jay to step down. What do you think, is it time for Jay to really retire?

We've heard a bit of buzz about Jazmine Sullivan as a songwriter over the last year or so, but she's ready to hit the scene as a artist! Her debut single "Need U Bad" is a hot track featuring Missy Elliot and Lamb. I hear a bit of Lauryn Hill and Faith Evans in her vocals. She hails from Philly and her soulful raspy tone is fresh right now. I look forward to hearing more tracks from the up and coming songstress since her debut is definitely in heavy rotation right now.

Rihanna is capitalizing on her new found international fame and re-releasing Good Girl Gone Bad. The new version will include this new track, "Take a Bow" which was written by Ne-Yo and produced by Stargate [hence the signature clap]. The re-release will be available May 27 and the video will be out in a few weeks...

I like what the song is about...it's almost like the sequel to "Irreplaceable." Ya'll know people like to put on quite the Oscar winning performance when you give them that "to the left, to the left."

"Talking about, 'Girl I love you, you're the one,' " Rihanna sings. "This just looks like a rerun/ Please, what else is on?/ And don't tell me you're sorry, 'cause you're not/ Baby, when I know you're only sorry 'cause you got caught."

They are promoting the hell out of Janet Jackson’s new album Discipline and she will be taking over NYC on the day of the drop on Feb. 26th! You can catch her on Good Morning America for a live performance at 7am, then it’s off to TRL for 3pm, and if you are in the city, catch her at Best Buy for a signing at 6pm…

She is currently working on the video for her next single “Rock With U” which I hope is less cryptic than “Feedback!”

Janet Jackson is already leaking her music from her upcoming project due out early 2008. Since she is back in the studio with L.A. Reid, it should be interesting to see if she tries some new sounds. The new song is "Feedback" and it's a great dance track, but we know that is Janet's best work. Maybe that's the problem, it doesn't seem like she's evolving musically. It didn't catch my attention at first listen, but I think it will grow on me...

This cat could be on his sophomore album by now with his mixtape full of solid songs and a slew of unreleased tracks like "A Love of Your Own," and the Japan only release, "City Boy." The good news is that he is looking to release a deluxe edition with additional songs that the fans have been asking for! This is the other bonus track from the Japanese release called "Good For Each Other," and the live horns are fire! Loves it...

Chris Brown will release his sophomore album Exclusive in less than a week on Nov. 6th after a few setbacks and lackluster reviews of recent releases. His fan base is huge, so I am sure he is in a good place, but I haven't been blown out of the water with what I've heard. "Kiss Kiss" has grown on me but with it being in the same vain as "Run It" it doesn't take him to a more mature level.

This is a newly leaked track called "Gimme Whatcha Got" featuring Weezy which was produced by Jazzy Pha. He's seems to be straining vocally but I do like the melody and the chorus is pretty hot!

After some album pushbacks and a bit of uncertainty, Mario is making a big push for his next release, Go, which is due out December 11th. One thing about Mario is that he made a very seamless move from tween to grown man artist. Check out this exclusive track called "If" which uses the backing of Trey Songz' "Can't Help But Wait."
