I am in no way, shape, or form surprised that Eddie Murphy’s new film Meet Dave was a complete box office debacle… The ish just looked horrible. The movie only opened this weekend at No. 7 with $5.3 million. At this point he is just doing movies to stay busy. I’ll just keep Jimmy “Thunder” Early as a reference point.

Word is he is reprising his best role ever, Axel Foley in a new Beverly Hills Cop…call me when that hits theaters.

As for Gabrielle Union, too bad, so sad...

Eddie Murphy is a mess...According to the UK Daily Mail, he says that he was "tricked" into having a baby with Mel B and because of that he won't attempt to be apart of the baby girl's life. Not as long as he has to deal with her mother. Eddie says the three time affair ended with more than what he bargained for...
Although Eddie accepts that Angel is his daughter, he has said that he won't see the little girl, because he doesn't want to set eyes on Mel.

A source said: "He says he will have to wait until Angel is older before he can get to know her without any interference from her mother."

Secrets behind the couple's doomed three-month fling have been revealed in legal papers in which Eddie, 46, states that Mel allegedly asked him for a $9 million (£4.5million) house, plus living expenses for 18 years in exchange for her silence while she was pregnant.

But Eddie baulked at the demands and it is claimed he has since refused to see the baby and the Spice Girl.
Baby. Mama. Drama. It does not discriminate... But Eddie needs to let that ish go and be a father, Baby Angel didn't ask for ya'll foolishness.

Johnny Gill decided it was time to defend his sexuality and give up the dirt on the fiasco that was Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmond's "spiritual ceremony."

On the Doug Banks radio show, Johnny called in and gave the details...He says he is not the reason the pair fell apart, but that it was Tracey's disdain for mother Murphy. On top of that, there is no way he's gay because he has a "stable" [his words, not mine].

Just to add fuel to the fire that Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds' sham of marriage/divorce was nothing more than a publicity event...Eddie was spotted shaking his donkey tale at the opening of The Bank club at the Bellagio in Las Veags this weekend. So what so bad about partying just a couple of weeks after pulling a Britney Spears? Well leaving with the chick you just met in the club for one, and two, where are you going with that What's Happenin' ass hat on?

Word on the curb is that Tracey called it quits after Eddie got physical...hmmm? I still think they ended the game after people found out the marriage wasn't legal. I don't think they ever intended to make it legal. I am sure there were some major stipulations that would have made someone a lot less richer, damn that alimony...

Check out the video of the donkey shake here.

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds' faux wedding and illegal marriage lasted a whole 2 weeks! Seeing that the ish wasn't even legally recognized, it further justifies my conspiracy theory that it was all a business arrangement and publicity stunt. A very expensive Bora Bora publicity stunt.

I know Babyface and Johnny Gill are somewhere giggling!
"After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further," Murphy and Edmonds tell PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. "While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”
I wonder how much Essence paid for the pictures of their wedding?

Maybe Tracey couldn't handle Eddie tyrannical nature!? According to Janet Charlton Eddie had some seriously controlling ways:
When Eddie was married to his wife Nicole, he was LORD AND MASTER around the house. According to an employee who worked in his house, persnickety Eddie has strict rules. He expected his beautiful wife Nicole to appear at the breakfast table every day with her makeup and hair DONE, and looking very together. But she was for his eyes only. He instructed every guy who worked at the house - gardeners, repairmen, pool men etc, NOT to look directly at her! Anyone caught staring at Nicole was instantly fired.

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds will have to take to the states to legalize their marriage since the seaside ceremony in Bora Bora was not a valid marriage. As a part of the French Polynesia, Bora Bora is under French law which only recognizes marriages of those that have been there at least 30 days or if performed at a town hall by a mayor.

The business partners lovebirds plan to properly marry once they return to the states, so say their reps.

Just as reports suspected, Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds tied the knot over the holidays, their rep tells People.

The pair were married on New Year's Day on a private island off Bora Bora in French Polynesia in front of 25 friends and family.

In a sunset ceremony on the beach Tuesday, Edmonds walked barefoot down the aisle to Gladys Knight's "Makings of You." The bride wore a custom-designed form-fitting dress by stylist and designer Sugia Nazel and Jill Baracci, designer and owner of Baracci boutique. Murphy wore a cream suit and vest with an off-white handkerchief.

In attendance were Tracey's parents, Eddie's mother and brother Vernon, and best man Johnny Gill.

They sure seemed to go from divorcees to dating to married with some baby mama drama in between rather quickly. Do you think the marriage will last?

Eddie Murphy was spotted in Denver shoot scenes for his new movie NowhereLand, but the real star on set is the pint-sized actress, Yara Shahidi. NowhereLand is a family comedy about an stressed out businessman that gets pulled into his daughter's imaginary world. His ex-wife is played by Nicole Ari Parker. How adorable is Yari!? NowhereLand is due out in 2008...

So I guess that was the last straw for Eddie Murphy and he is finally speaking out about that little thing called a paternity suit!...In a public statement, Eddie’s reps say:

“Eddie Murphy always has and will continue to honor his responsibilities as a father. Mr. Murphy and Ms. Brown dated very briefly and never made any plans of ANY sort. He acknowledges paternity of the child Angel, and has paid child support to Ms. Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy. Mr. Murphy views this as a private matter and as such, will not be making any further comments about it.”

With Gloria Allred on the case, there's no getting out of it, so Eddie should just come to court with a blank check. I mean he should know the drill, he has a clan of kids!

In the most interest meeting of the minds...Eddie's ex-wife and newest Baby Mama met up for lunch at the place to be seen, The Ivy! Nicole Murphy, Mel B, the kids, and the paps all met to catch up, dish dirt on Eddie's "lifestyle" and get tips on how how suck his pockets dry! LOL...To only be a salt shaker on that table! Little Angel Iris too adorable...

Watch a clip of the frenzy under the cut...

Word is Eddie Murphy has popped the question to girlfriend Tracey Edmonds... With his pending paternity suit I am wondering what brought this on?
According to OK! magazine, the 46-year-old 'Dreamgirls' and 'Shrek the Third' star proposed on July 25 with a "massive," roughly 8-carat Cartier yellow diamond engagement ring.

A friend of the couple says, "They're very adorable together, very happy," adding that they plan to tie the knot before the end of the year with a private wedding: "something low-key and romantic."

[Mel B pictured with her lawyer Gloria "That's Yo Ass" Allred]

In a new interview with Essence Magazine, Melanie Brown dishes all about Eddie Murphy, the paternity denial, and her Spice Girls reunion...Here's just a tidbit of the drama...

ESSENCE.com: How did you two officially break up?

MEL B: There was no official breakup. I went to London and on my return flight I learned that he made that announcement about wanting a DNA test on that TV show. Then I saw him on the red carpet with Tracey Edmonds and that's when I knew we were over.

ESSENCE.com: Why do you think he went flip mode and publicly denied his flesh and blood?

MEL B: First of all, I'm a very independent woman so if you're trying to control me, that's not going to happen. In any relationship, it's all about compromise. We were going to buy a house in Malibu and move in together. Somehow things got confused along the way because there were certain things that went on in his house with his lifestyle that I wasn't prepared to be a part of. So that became a trippy discussion, which ended up where we both refused to budge. [Gay swinger parties maybe?]

ESSENCE.com: What is it about his lifestyle that you don't like?

MEL B: I have a baby with this guy so I have to be somewhat respectful. I'll simply say that there were lifestyle changes that he would have to make if we were going to live together and do it properly. I have a house where it¹s about my kids and me. I don't have people knocking on my door at 3 and 4 in the morning. I have a very simple life—I don't have a ton of people looking after my kids—I'm a very regular person when it comes to that because I want my kids to have a normal life as much as possible.

More "gotcha gotcha": It was a planned pregnancy, they never really broke-up, she learned about Tracey the same way we did...on the red carpet!!
