Kanye West dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show for his first interview since the passing of his mother. Ellen was also the last interview they had together before her untimely death. He chose to premiere the video for "Love Lockdown" on the show.

As usual, it very artistic and clean! I've fallen in love with the song, though.

808s & Heartbreak will be out November 25, Kanye confirms in the interview with Ellen...

Looks like 50 Cent can let go of his idea to go head-to-head with Kanye West on December 16th [probably for the best], since Kanye just announced on Twitter that the album has been moved up! 808s & Heartbreak will come out sometime in November...

...on Comedy Central! Kanye West has teamed up with the cable channel for a new show tentatively titled "Alligator Boots." A half-hour pilot has already been been shot for the project.

It's from Jackhole Prods., the production company founded by Jimmy Kimmel, Daniel Kellison and Adam Carolla that also was behind Comedy Central's puppet-centric "Crank Yankers."

The project, which is under consideration for 2009, would feature music produced and performed by West and fellow rapper Rhymefest, both of whom are serving as executive producers on the pilot alongside Kellison.

West also hosts the pilot; the idea is to have a different celebrity guest host for every episode, similar to the setup on the original "Muppet Show." [SOURCE]

Kanye West and his bodyguard, Don Crowley, were arrested at LAX this morning, the LAX Police Department has confirmed to Access Hollywood, which was the first news outlet to break the news online today.

The incident took place at 7:51 AM this morning at the entrance to the security checkpoint for American Airlines at Terminal 4. The two were en route to Honolulu at the time.

According to an eyewitness on the scene who spoke with Access, the incident began when Kanye approached a camera that was being aimed at him by a photographer.

According to the gossip Web site TMZ.com, the paparazzo was attempting to photograph the rap star, when Kanye allegedly confronted the photographer, grabbing his camera (reportedly valued at over $10,000) and smashing it to the ground. Kanye then smashed another piece of the camera, possibly the flash, to the ground.

A TMZ videographer named Erik, who was also present, was attempting to videotape Kanye and the photographer, when Don (the bodyguard) grabbed TMZ's video camera. A struggle reportedly ensued between Don and Erik.

Airport security intervened and took Don and the photographer aside, and spoke to both of them, later releasing them both.

Kanye then approached the photographer again, getting "in his face," Access' witness said. A group of flight attendants also saw Kanye confront the photographer again, according to the witness.

According to TMZ, Kanye then tried to board his plane, but overheard police talking with Erik about whether or not he had filmed the incident.

Kanye reportedly then approached Erik demanding the tape, yelling, "Gimme that f****** videotape," which caused Erik's camera to smash to the ground (yes, this was the 2nd camera smashed to the ground)!

As the incident escalated, approximately eight LAX police officers apprehended Kanye, putting him in handcuffs, and took him and Don into custody, according to Access' witness.

According to Access' witness, LAX police did not detain either photographer. The witness also noted that due to the anniversary of 9-11, police presence at the airport appeared to be higher than normal.

Kanye and Don were taken to the LAPD Pacific Division where they were booked and charged with felony vandalism.

According to LAX Police, "Airport Police had initially received the call as also involving a potential battery. However, following initial investigation, it was determined that no battery occurred."

An LAX traffic cop told an Access producer on site that Kanye and his entourage will be returning to get on another American Airlines flight, after they're booked. The next direct flights departing LAX for Honolulu are at 3:20 PM and 6:40 PM.

First, MTV is clearly struggling! If this is what you get on the 25th anniversary, then I have less hope for the future. The venue was odd to me, too. I like some of the match up on performance, especially Leona Lewis on Weezy's "Misunderstood" and T.I. with Rihanna. It seemed like they are relying on just the performance to carry the show. Russell Brand was okay as host, there have been much worse, like say Marlon and Shawn Wayans.

I can just remember when this show was the hottest thing all year, now it's like TRL on crack... The awards are pure BS staged winners. Come on, Britney takes home 3 moonmen. I mean I'm happy the girl is getting her life together, but I am sure her promo commercials were paid partly in moonmen.

We've been waiting on Kanye West's Pastelle fashion line for like 2 years and here is the first glimpse at what's to come... His Glow in the Dark Tour crew Rihanna and Lupe Fiasco are also featured in the ad that is running in the new VMAN Magazine.

The website, Pastelle.com is still "coming soon" so I guess we'll continue to wait...

Once HBO figures it out, they plan to air it all...The network has been working to find a way to make Kanye West the next reality star.

Long before the writers’ strike began last November, the network began discussing whether to team the rapper with executive producer Larry Charles (Curb Your Enthusiasm) for a yet-to-be-named, single-camera series that would follow the busy life of the Grammy-winning artist and his relationship with family and friends. One key insider says HBO is now looking for a writer — and some creative inspiration — before moving forward with the project: “We need to figure out how to capture Kanye in the right way.” [SOURCE]

Why waste time trying to reason with a crackhead...When Amy Winehouse hit the Glastonbury stage she bashed Kanye West for being arrogant. I guess she didn't get the memo that he was the headliner, Jay Z's people.

During Winehouse's set, the singer also reportedly addressed Kanye West in the midst of performing "Some Unholy War." Festival attendees reported she improvised the lyrics to say, "At least I'm not opening for a c--t like Kanye."

To which Jay Z responds swiftly:

"She said something about Kanye late on [in her set] but I didn't hear it," he said. "I don't agree with it. He's my brother and the biggest artist on Roc-A-Fella right now. ... I guess I should hook them up, because he's a great guy, too. I don't know what the problem is. I don't know where that came from."

Don't tell Kanye he doesn't have love for the hippies at Bonnaroo! After being booed and blasted by festival goers for his show starting 2 hours late, Kanye blasted back, loudly on his blog. He used the caps lock too...He must really be peeved! Kanye says the fans can blame the festival managers and Pearl Jam's lateness. Since the situation pushed his show closer to daylight, it ruined the Glow in the Dark experience, which seemed to upset him the most. Ya'll know Ye is sensitive about his work.

After Kanye West and Nick Cannon's ex Selita Ebanks was spotted partying together at NY's Tenjune nightclub the buzz was out that the pair were the newest couple. Not so fast. According to People.com's snitch, the pair just happened to be with a large group getting their club on. Nothing more.

"They are just friends. They were with a large group that included Serena Williams and Selita's dad," says the Ebanks source.

Granted he has an ego, but everything isn't always about it. Don't try to 'Michael Jackson' him...He post this blog in response to a little mishap at the Houston stop on the Glow in the Dark Tour.

Don't believe the hype! When I started the show the other night we were having a lot of technical issues due 2 the heat. The 2 huge screens on both sides of the stage were glaring bright blue like when your DVD player acts up at home. I asked for them 2 turn the screens off 3 times because it was distracting 2 the show. The fans were not getting what they paid for. I admit, in my frustration, I did use profanity on the 4th time I asked. I stopped the show 2 go over and check it out myself. After the screens were turned off I started the same song from the beginning. The screens were eventually fixed 5 songs in but it was definitely better 2 have them blacked out rather than bright blue. Unfortunately for certain media outlets, you will never be able 2 'Michael Jackson' me. That means 2 make it seem like everything I do is so weird or out of place... they always try 2 make it seem like everything is about my ego! That joke is getting old. At a certain point you have 2 respect that I'm one of the last artist that still cares about the fans having the best time of there lives! Thanks 2 Bossip and Perez for taking it easy on me on the EW spaz... I did go in a little 2 much on that one. I'm sure there are some cool people who work over there and had nothing 2 do with that review. With all that said.... "I'm still the greatest!!!" lol!! ...as another one bites it! Unlike his "big brother" Kanye West has ended his walk to the alter and called off his engagement to Alexis Phifer. Word on the Curb is that Kanye called it quits and in true 'Ye fashion, asked for the ring back! They say he basically told her, "I just don't think it is going to work out anymore."

So if he's a free man, there may be some stickiness as the pair share a gorgeous mansion and she was using her FIDM edumacation to help design his Pastelle clothing line. No word from his rep on the matter.
