A 17-year-old was arrested Friday in the murder of his mother, a Gwinnett County sheriff's deputy, and his two sisters.Condolences to the families affected by this tragic event. It's hard to imagine the grief and amount of unanswered questions.
Anthony Tyrone Terrell is charged with killing his mother, Joy Deleston, and his sisters Micaiah, 11, and Jelani, 4.
Police spokeswoman Corporal Illana Spellman said the motive for the killings is still under investigation. Terrell was taken to jail in neighboring DeKalb County to avoid any potential conflict because Deleston worked for Gwinnett County, Spellman said. He is being held without bail.
Spellman said she could not confirm whether Deleston's service weapon was used in the fatal shootings or if investigators recovered the gun used in the killings. She said she did not know if there were any prior police calls to the home. A neighbor called police Thursday night when she heard gunshots and a bullet came through the wall of her house.
Officers who responded realized the bullet came from the deputy's house at 415 Madison Chase Drive and saw the deputy's marked patrol vehicle in the driveway, said Gwinnett County police spokesman David Schiralli. When they investigated they found the bodies of the deputy and her daughters.
"They knew a deputy lived there, so they knocked at the door to see if everybody was all right," Schiralli said. "There was no answer, but lights were on. They opened the door a little bit to announce themselves. That's when they saw the 11-year-old."
She was just inside the front door. The deputy's body was further inside the house. The 4-year-old was discovered in an upstairs bedroom. [READ MORE]

EDGE: Speaking of who you’re sleeping with -- there are rumors popping up on the Internet that you’re bisexual. What’s your reaction to that?
Cheri: What is my reaction? Oh my God! Are they talking? I love it! I love it! I love it! I have a boyfriend, but I love that they talk, it’s all good. If the lesbians love me and they desire me -- beautiful! If the gay men want to be my homegirl or want to be me, it doesn’t matter to me -- that’s beautiful! If they think I’m bisexual -- great! As long as they think I make good music -- whatever! [READ MORE]

“Rihanna is very close to her family,” the pal tells OK!. “But she knew they loved Chris as much as she does.”Ahhh...how sweet! See more pictures from the homecoming after the cut!
That didn’t stop one of her brothers from giving the “Kiss Kiss” singer a hard time. “He told Chris that PDA was tacky and said he may be a little too short for his sister!” Still, the pal adds, “Chris loved seeing all the pictures in Rihanna’s family home of her winning Miss Combermere, [a local beauty pageant she won at 16], lounging on the beach and singing in local clubs. He cares about Rihanna. Things have started really heating up from friends to something more.” [SOURCE]

"I was very shocked and disappointed to hear of Johnny Gill's false spin on the chain of events surrounding our wedding. His outrageous lies were clearly a very desperate and pathetic attempt to clean up his reputation at my expense. I would appreciate it if Mr. Gill would refrain from continuing to spread false gossip and lies to the public, and allow everyone involved to move on with their lives. We all know the real truth." ...in the TV-show inspired kind of way."It's something completely different than anything I've ever done before," Ashanti said of the video. "We're kind of basing the concept on a show called 'Snapped,' which is on the Oh! channel. It's about women who have gotten pushed to the [point] where they feel, I guess, [that it's] necessary to murder their husbands, boyfriends, what have you. It's actually a documentary like [Tru] TV's 'Forensic Files,' but this one is only for women; when women snap they do crazy things. So being that the record is so dramatic and so painful and emotional, I think that the concepts just married each other and it was amazing. The director, Kevin Bray, just brought different twists and different angles out of it, and it was a great thing."

The Grammy winner, who was thrown a big birthday bash by Chris for her 20th birthday last week, was all over her younger man. "They were smooching in the pool and were really lovely dovey," the PageSix.com spy told us exclusively. "They were playfully making out and he was kissing her on the neck."
The attractive pair, who got matching star tattoos on their necks in January, got in the pool after a leisurely lunch yesterday at the Hilton Kingston Hotel in Jamaica. They were hanging out with friends and at about 3 p.m., Chris, 18, jumped into the water and waited while Rihanna went to her room and changed into a bikini.
She came back and was very scared of getting her hair wet, said the spy. "They were floating together with him carrying her and she kept saying, 'Don't get my hair wet.' She was very soft and feminine but he was a big kid and splashing around."
The couple arrived in Jamaica together on Friday from Rihanna's native Barbados for the Smile Jamaica Africa Unite Bob Marley celebration in St. Mary, where she performed.

The fact is that they had no problem with the relationship -- indeed, they encouraged it -- while Ms. Daniels was on Mr. Kelly's payroll. Now Maxine is giving her side of the story. She personally came to the office at the Sun-Times, and in her first-ever interview said:
It was Regina Daniels, then working as a publicist for Mr. Kelly, who persuaded him to attend her step-daughter's 21st birthday party.

"The statement that was issued by R. Kelly's camp to TMZ, which I interpreted as an attempt to defame Regina and George Daniels, my dad and stepmom, has made it necessary for me to respond to some of those accusations: I take full responsibility for my actions. My stepmother and father didn't know about my relationship with the singer because I knew and he knew that they wouldn't approve ... so I tried to keep it a secret, but when my stepmother found out about our relationship, she resigned because she felt that Rob had 'crossed the line' by dating a girl that he has known since she was 7 years old. My stepmom was not fired for incompetence. She was Rob's publicist for 14 years and always considered Rob not just a client ... but family. And Rob thought of my dad like a father.
"I am 21, smart and will be graduating from college this year, but I admit that I was swept up by his charming and generous ways, which I truly regret and have learned from. My brief relationship with Kelly last year ended because my parents were starting to hear rumors that we were together, and I was beginning to feel like it wasn't a healthy situation, especially with the pain it was causing me and my family," Maxine said. "I felt that it just wasn't right. Also, in reference to my birthday party, which was held last spring, Regina did not push Rob to host the party. We both asked him ... and he readily agreed."
"In regards to the cell phone number, Regina didn't give me Rob's number and she didn't ask me not to tell my dad. Rob personally slipped me his number at another event and that is how we started talking. The Internet has been rampant with all sorts of rumors for months now and hopefully this will clear things up. I admit I made a mistake and I know I am not the first young adult to make a serious misjudgment." [SOURCE]

According to police, the victims were standing on the sidewalk and began running when they heard gunshots. The three were quickly taken to a local hospital, where their injuries were said to be not life-threatening; the venue was closed and the event canceled.
At press time, local police said they have no suspects or motive in the shooting.
None of the MCs had arrived at the venue by the time of the shooting. MTV News caught up with Wayne not long after the incident. He seemed optimistic that the Hot Boys reunion could be rescheduled, saying that it's "only a phone call away."
The reunion was planned to be a cap on this year's NBA All-Star Weekend. [SOURCE]Labels: Lil Wayne

Well I do believe it is time to answer THE question. I did not want to expose our situation completely, as I assumed the truth would come to light in its own time. I thought it’d be the best thing for him. But seeing how he so blatently disregarded the truth in order to legitimize his way into your homes for a third season, I must be real with you and speak up for the truth and myself!
No I did not leave Flav to sell blue jeans, I didn’t leave Flav at all. Honestly William Drayden and I were never really a couple, for the day I won, inevitably was the day I loss. Fearing that the show was all a stage to entertain, I often ask Flav, “Is this real or are you just having fun” He was always calm and with a sincere and straight face replied, “Yes this is real, and I do wanna have you in my life”. Now many of you may say I was being naive to believe in a reality love affair, but at the time it felt right. This was Flavor Flav from Public Enemy, he is an older man and knows better than to play games. I thought life is short, take a chance and enjoy your opportunity to love. But love is not what Flav wanted, at least not when it came time to renew his reality show contract. He had a choice, sign up for a new season or stick it out with Dee. But he didn’t think twice. After I won the show and the reunion was taped, Flav distanced himself from me. He changed his number and was advised to cut all ties, or he would ruin the possibilities of a third season. In the meantime, I wanted more than to be known as Flavs girlfriend with the Big Butt. I have gifts that are beyond what you see on the outside. I wanted more for myself and my child. I appreciate the appreciation of my physique, and all of the opportunities to grace these wonderful sexy men magazines, but then what?!!! I had been tailoring and altering my own personal clothes since forever due to my bodytype, so when the opportunity arose to design, style and tailor jeans for women abroad, I put my best foot forward and handled my BUSINESS, ALONE! I did it without Flav not because I left him, I did it without Flav because he WAS NOT THERE!!! How can you leave someone who was never there? I am a single mom, who has the right to take care of business by all means necessary! And as women, we now know that we don’t have to wait on no MAN to handle our business! I did not compromise my character nor his, nor our relationship by starting my own entrepreneurship. A real man would have been right there by my side the entire time. So I started my own business, but how does that add up to leaving him? It doesnt. He lied! But its all good…his loss. A man who walks away without care or concern was never true to begin with. And yes I do have someone new in my life right now. However loving who I’m with now, doesn’t mean I never loved Flav, it means God decided I was good enough to truly be loved by someone even after Flav and all the bullsh I had encountered. Someone who loves me unconditionally, with or without a camera or some TV show. Someone who won’t leave me for a check and a chance at ratings. And no dissrespect to Flav. Obviously he had to do what he thought was best for him, and at the same time, so did I. He says we were a bad batch of women, and that this time around he doesnt want a girl who’s gonna be famous off of him, well here’s a suggestion Flav…don’t date on national television, cause everyone on that show is going to inherit some kind of fame. So there it is, the truth. I hope I’ve answered your questions and concerns. Oh and as for the new love in my life, yes its real, its honest and its healthy…and before any of the hating begins (yall know the haters cannot wait to try and tear this union to shreds) no he don’t beat me! no I didn’t mess with him while I was with Flav! And hell to the naw, he aint got a GAY bone in his body, so please don’t start with the dumb shit lol. and no we are NOT engaged…yet. Now that we’ve got them rumors out the way, like my homie Katt Williams say, “We gone keep it pushin round here lol”

"The prolonged strike has changed business conditions and our programming strategy for the balance of the 2007/08 season. To better focus its creative and financial resources, The CW will only resume production on shows that are in consideration for renewal next year. As a result, we will not order additional episodes of the long-running comedy, `Girlfriends,' which planned to conclude its 8-year run at the end of this season. This was a very difficult decision for us, and was based solely on the considerable cost to license each episode in an extremely unusual business environment.I think it is pretty shady that the CW dropped its most popular show, after they continuously shifted its time slot, and poured money into horrible shows like "Aliens in America" and "Reaper." They could have saved that money to show the one consistent hit they've had some due respect. I feel horrible for Mara Brock Akil and all the actors.
The affection, appreciation and respect for the show's accomplishments and the talents of the artists could not be greater. 'Girlfriends' was a landmark comedy that helped anchor important nights for both The CW and UPN, and proved to be one of the most enduring and popular shows in TV history with African-American viewers.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks for eight great seasons from creator Mara Brock Akil, stars Tracee Ellis Ross, Golden Brooks, Persia White, Jill Marie Jones, Reggie Hayes, Khalil Kain, Keesha Sharp and all the cast, crew and production who have worked on the show. We are in discussions with Mara and the cast to bring closure to the show and its fans with a retrospective special to air this season." [SOURCE]

I had no clue,” says the blushing bride. “I mean I knew that we were getting married, but I thought it would be just a little chapel.”

With 168 delegates at stake on Tuesday, Obama was set to build on the lead that he has gained in the past week in NBC News' delegate count over Clinton, who, according to her aides, is now depending on victories the big states of Ohio and Texas in her struggle to keep up in a race she once commanded.
Clinton's campaign manager resigned over the weekend, and NBC News confirmed Tuesday a Washington Post report that deputy campaign manager Mike Henry resigned Monday. A source told NBC that Henry was leaving to allow new campaign manager Maggie Williams to organize her own team. [SOURCE]

If you don't think Ri Ri and Jay are doing it, u got another thing coming! Lotta weird stuff happening off camera he had no control over. She's real touchy feely.Hmmm... I still think the acceptance speech thing is being over-analyzed, I didn't see anything that people are talking about. It seems to get less awkward the more times I look at it, they even embrace as they leave the stage. I don't know, I really get the feeling that they have a big bro/lil sis relationship. You can decide for yourself, check out the actual footage.

This is slightly hypocritical if you ask me, because Natalie has battled her own demons. Plus, if anything, I think Amy's performance was a testament of her struggle to get sober. I mean you could actually understand 92% of her words and she was able to make it through the whole performance without falling down. That is progress, people!"I'm sorry. I think the girl is talented, gifted, but it's not right for her to be able to have her cake and eat it too.
"She needs to get herself together ... this is about discipline and hard work, and you don't get to just do your drugs and go onstage and get rewarded."
Cole had no complaints with Winehouse's Grammys performance, which was beamed to Los Angeles via satellite from London.
"Her performance was fine," Cole said.
"I don't take anything away from her talent, but I just feel like she's stepping into a place that she hasn't earned yet."
Winehouse was the star of Sunday's show, scooping five awards -- including the coveted record of the year, song of the year and best new artist.
Cole however said she would have preferred to see R'n'B stars Beyonce or Rihanna rewarded instead of Winehouse.
"I just feel like they're ready to go the long haul. You can tell how hard they work, they're great people, their heart is in the right place.

Three months after his mother's sudden death, Kanye West is planning an emotional tribute performance at the Grammy Awards.I hope he adds Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" because his background singer ills it. "I know about the backlash, the 'Erykah Badu, if you look at her, she’ll make you change gods and wear crochet pants' backlash," she says. "But nobody looks at the things that those people have given to me."
What have they given you?
"Just so much musical freedom. Common is the most humble person I ever met. Kind and generous. He reinforced that in me. Andre is very creative and artistic. All of that that you see of him, that’s all him. That’s how he is, and that gave me a creative push, too."
Although Badu is fairly cryptic when discussing her old beaus, she allows this brief, whispered indulgence.

According to will.i.am, founding member and frontman of Black Eyed Peas, the "Yes We Can Song" was inspired by Senator Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign and especially the speech Obama gave following the New Hampshire primary. He states, "It made me reflect on the freedoms I have, going to school where I went to school, and the people that came before Obama like Martin Luther King, presidents like Abraham Lincoln that paved the way for me. . . ." Dylan says, "The speech was inspiring about making change in America and I believe what it says and I hope everybody votes."
The music video includes excerpts from Obama's speech and appearances from several celebrities: Scarlett Johansson, John Legend, Herbie Hancock, Kate Walsh, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Adam Rodriquez, Kelly Hu, Adam Rodriquez, Amber Valetta, and Nick Cannon.
