Cheri Dennis is so getting played, but I am glad she is at least one step closer to getting some airplay. Her first single "Portrait of Love" seems a bit simplistic and uninspired, but I like it. I can always do without the random raps from Yung Joc and Gorilla Zoe though!

Her new album, In and Out of Love, is available on iTunes now but the actual physical release isn't until next year [cross your fingers].

I'm going to need Rodney King to retreat to some small town far, far away, because clearly he can't keep it together. I would have taken that $3.8 million and moved to the beach by my lonesome. Talk about a story to tell, beat by LAPD, popped for DWIs and now shot in the face while drunk...
An intoxicated King summoned officers to his home in Rialto, about 60 miles east of Los Angeles, on Wednesday night to report he had been shot, said Sgt. Don Lewis of the Rialto Police Department.

"He had some minor pepper wounds that looked like they were from bird shot," said Lewis, who described the injuries as "extremely minor."

Lewis said King told police the shooting took place while he was riding his bicycle in neighboring San Bernardino. King rode his bicycle home after the incident and it was not immediately clear who fired the shot, Lewis said.

"(King) and the whole house were very intoxicated and very uncooperative," Lewis said. King was treated at a local hospital, and the investigation was turned over to San Bernardino police. [SOURCE]

He was on a bike? Not a surprise at all.

This is hilarious! They say everyone has a twin, in this case Gary Dourdan, who stars in CSI, has a crackish cousin named Demitris Hirsch [right, just in case you were confused] who was arrested yesterday in Lafayette, La. on charges of aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon.

Why did he have to be from Louisiana? As Fresh would say, Why Must I Cry?

This cat could be on his sophomore album by now with his mixtape full of solid songs and a slew of unreleased tracks like "A Love of Your Own," and the Japan only release, "City Boy." The good news is that he is looking to release a deluxe edition with additional songs that the fans have been asking for! This is the other bonus track from the Japanese release called "Good For Each Other," and the live horns are fire! Loves it...

He did get busted for that marijuana but Birdman Baby, or Baby Birdman, hell I'm about to start calling him BabyBird, says that 18 year old chick is not his wifey...That's not the only thing he wants to clear up. He tells MTV News that there wasn't a pound in the trash and there were no gun charges because he and his security are licensed to carry guns.
"We was on the bus. I was asleep in the back," he said. "Why they pulled us over, I don't know. The people are making the situation out worse than what it is. We got arrested for a misdemeanor amount of [marijuana] — we didn't have no pound. The police just found something minor in a garbage can the dog sniffed. We all got out on bond."

"I'm not married," he insisted. "Never! Been! Married! Plus, that girl was 18! I don't get down like that! Plus, if I was married, why would I keep it a secret?" However, he did allow that perhaps the right woman could make an honest man out of him one day.
So who was the random chick on the bus? BabyBird says she's a friend of one the other 15 people on the bus that was arrested. So there goes your Chester Molester rumors...

So way back around '98 a boy band hit the scene by the name of Imajin...They had 3 good hits with Shorty, No Doubt and Flava...but like most boy bands they drifted into throwback heaven. However, they are still grinding, making music and somewhere around 2004 they had a new song called "I Miss You (Fatal)" while on Motown but...

In classic industry fashion the song was sold to another up and coming R&B singer, who we now know as J. Holiday. So it made it's way on to his album, Bac of my Lac [one of the best of '07].

Check out Imajin's version "I Miss You (Fatal)"...

Now check out J. Holiday's version of "Fatal"...

Of course I'm totally biased, I think J killed it, but you tell me?

A very preggers Christina Aguilera capitalized on her growing belly and bared it on the cover of the January issue of Marie Claire. Talk about starting the year off right! I love nude belly shots and she has the body for it, so go for it... She tells the mag that her and hubby, Jason, were actually suprised when she found the bun in the oven, though they were starting to plan for a baby:
“We were planning on starting to try after the [Nov. 2006-May 2007 Back to Basics] tour. And so, I had gone off the Pill to prepare my body, because I didn’t know how much time it would take. You’ve heard it takes some time – except with Power Egg and Super Sperm here. I’m like, Oh, my God, can you believe it just happened?”

Aguilera believes the moment of conception occurred when Bratman – a music executive whom the singer married two years ago – visited Georgetown during a tour stop, when she had one month of physically challenging concerts still left to perform.

Janet Jackson is planning another comeback with an album due in February 2008. She decided to ditch the midget, production wise at least while he works on Mariah's album, and team up with L.A. Reid again. She's also signed with the William Morris Agency for new representation. Seeing that the last 2 albums were pretty poo-poo, my hope is slowly fading for Janet, hopefully she can get in the zone a pull out a hit.

In the lawsuit, Knievel claimed the "vulgar and offensive" images depicted in the video damaged his reputation. And he accused the 29-year-old rapper of using the Knievel image to "promote his filth to the world."

Meeting West changed his mind, Knievel said. "I thought he was a wonderful guy and quite a gentleman," he said.

Washington Redskins' safety Sean Taylor died just a day after being shot in his home over the weekend while home in Miami while suffering a knee injury. The young father and pro-bowler recently changed his life after some legal run-ins. The police current have no suspects in the case.
Taylor died early Tuesday of a gunshot wound from an apparent intruder, a tragic end for a 24-year-old whose life was transformed by the birth of a daughter 18 months ago.

“We’re going to miss him,” Gibbs said. “I’m not talking about as a player. I’m talking about as a person.”

A day earlier, Taylor and his girlfriend were awakened by loud noises, according to family friend Richard Sharpstein, who learned the details from Taylor’s girlfriend, Jackie Garcia. He said Taylor grabbed a machete he keeps in the bedroom for protection. Someone then broke through the bedroom door and fired two shots, one missing and one hitting Taylor, Sharpstein said. Neither Taylor’s daughter, Jackie, nor Taylor’s girlfriend were injured in the attack.

The bullet damaged the femoral artery in Taylor’s leg, causing significant blood loss. Taylor never regained consciousness, Sharpstein said, and the news that he had squeezed a nurse’s hand late Monday only proved to give false hope.

When your 15 minutes has expired, what do you do? The Boom Kat herself is still talking about the infamous MTB4 blow up with Diddy. Not that she'll get another 15 minutes, but give her 30 seconds to read her quote! In an interview with New York Magazine, Gibson says she will never work as a choreographer with the rap mogul again because of his supersized self-image.
"The problem was definitely P. Diddy and working with his ego," she explained. "It was really him that gave me trouble because he couldn't really understand that at certain points [the process] was difficult and hostile. I mean, the girls were amazing and the boys were not the problem. They were hard workers, and the show was definitely edited at times. I am no lawyer [yet, maybe] but I said this from jump, T.I.'s only chance of not seeing jail time is to have the evidence thrown out, most likely on a technicality. That's exactly what his legal dream team is kicking his defense off with. Otherwise, that evidence seem pretty damning and could cost him years in prison.
T.I.'s lawyers gave a hint of how they plan to defend their client through motions filed in court on Monday seeking to suppress evidence seized from the rapper's vehicle during his October 13 arrest on federal weapons charges. The motions claim that the evidence against him and statements he made to authorities were illegally obtained. The Associated Press reports that attorneys for the rapper (born Clifford Harris) claim his car was searched without a warrant, consent or probable cause. They also claim that his detention might not have been appropriate, that statements he made to authorities might not have been voluntary and that agents may have failed to honor his rights. The motions don't go into details on the basis for the legal challenges, but state that more information will be filled in later. [SOURCE]

Donda West, mother of Kanye West, was laid to rest Tuesday morning at the True Vine Ministry church in her native Oklahoma City, Access Hollywood reports.

Many of Kanye's friends and supporters attended the service, including Jay-Z and Beyoncé. R&B singer Anita Baker and John Legend performed at the private ceremony, according to the report.

Donda West's body arrived at the church in a coffin via white hearse, and after the service was taken to a cemetery by two horse-drawn carriages, the report said.

Kanye West was present at the service after flying in from two emotional dates on the European leg of his Glow in the Dark Tour.

Donda West was a native of Oklahoma and later moved to Chicago, where her son was born, to take a teaching position. She left her academic career in 2004 to co-manage Kanye and oversee many of his business dealings. He has paid tribute to her in statements and in songs throughout his career.

According to the following press release, Ne-Yo has been dropped from the Double Up Tour after only 2 shows over a reported unsigned contract...
Yesterday, Shaffer Smith aka Ne-Yo was informed that he was being dropped from the rest of the R Kelly tour after delivering two sensational performances. Entertainment reporters, music critics, bloggers, fans, and concert goers all agreed that Ne-Yo's performances brought the heat; but maybe it brought too much heat.

"I don't understand their actions because I was rehearsing, doing media, promoting the tour, and performing, said Ne-Yo. In my opinion, I was doing everything possible to make the tour a success. I love being on stage in front of fans because of the immediate feedback you get. You know right away if they are feeling you; and they were really feeling our show."

Ne-Yo expressed genuine concern regarding not having the opportunity to complete the tour. He wanted all of his fans and supporters to be able to see him live. "To my fans and ticket holders – I apologize if you are disappointed."
Hmmm...reviews so far have given Ne-Yo's show two-thumbs up, despite Keyshia's rumored diva demands and Kells technical difficulties...Could Ne-Yo be hotter than R. Kelly? Ionno 'bout allat! But something is clearly suspect with this one.

Blige talks about her youth:
"When I was growing up, my neighborhood was full of everyone—black, white, Latino, gay, straight. A lot of people that I knew were gay, but they were great people. They were good people. It’s not like they were alien. They were just people. That [acceptance] was just something that was always in me. I’ve never been a judgmental person because I have been through so much hell myself."

And of homophobia in hip-hop, she adds:
"The real hip-hop, the real people don’t even care about that. They’ll love you and accept you no matter what because they know who they are. There are a lot of people trying to figure out who they are and what they’re gonna be. There’s a lot of confusion in that. Confusion causes a lack of identity. I’ve heard a couple of guys say foul things, and those guys are not around me anymore because when they say things like that, I’m looking at them like, What makes you so scared? You don’t know who you are? I guess it all boils down to them not being sure about themselves and what they wanna do, whoever that is. I won’t say any names. And I don’t dislike them or anything—it just makes me wonder about them period. ’Cause if you’re not sure about that, then you ain’t sure about a lotta things!"

Jay-Z scored his 10th No. 1 album on the U.S. pop album charts Wednesday, a feat that ties the rapper with Elvis Presley in second place for the most trips to the top.

The Beatles lead with 19 chart-toppers, and the Rolling Stones are now fourth.

Jay-Z's "American Gangster" -- a disc inspired by the Denzel Washington-Russell Crowe gangster movie -- sold 425,000 copies in the week ended November 12, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Its tally fell far short of the 680,000-unit start for his previous release, "Kingdom Come," in November 2006.

Since 1998, all eight of Jay-Z's solo studio albums have hit No. 1, in addition to his "Collision Course" project with Linkin Park and his "Unfinished Business" collaboration with R. Kelly.

Hollywood starlets Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan and Gabrielle Union cover the December issue of Essence Magazine. The trio chopped it up with the mag, notably giving their two cents on the gossip blog *ahem*... Which honestly they are so disconnected from and misguided, but to each their own.
Essence: How do you deal with the 24-hours-a-day gossip that comes out on the Internet?

Gabrielle: Just last week somebody gave me a baby. This isn’t Perez Hilton or the White gossip people, these are women of color, specifically Black women who, for whatever reason, don’t like the company I keep.

Sanaa: She’s talking about the gossip sites.

Essence: The blogs.

Sanaa: That are run by Black women.

Gabrielle: And now because everyone is clamoring for celebrity tidbits, the bigger gossip sites and even mainstream entities are picking up on it. No fact-checking, no nothing. And in one week’s time, there were like five different dudes, a baby—I’m a homewrecker. In literally seven days. I can’t point the finger at the White media. They don’t care about us. Paparazzi are not staked out in front of any of our houses. They are not going through our garbage because they don’t care about us in that way. So when you hear crap about us, it is coming from our own community, which hurts.
Well, you know that your own people will tell you the truth and please know this is not Fox News or CNN boo...And she's right the mainstream media [i.e. white media] aren't checking for them, so if it wasn't for bloggers, people wouldn't know what they were doing, good and bad!

Yes ma'am, if you look busted, you will get talked about. If you look fly, you get noticed...like this lovely cover.

"Kanye West, his family and friends would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and kind words that have come in from across the country since the death of his mother, Dr. Donda West.

After working in higher education for 31 years, Dr. Donda West and Kanye West co-founded the Kanye West Foundation with the mission of helping to combat the severe dropout problem in high schools across the country. The first and signature initiative of the Kanye West Foundation is Loop Dreams. Designed to capitalize on students existing interest in hip-hop, Loop Dreams challenges students to learn more about what’s behind hip-hop culture in order to help them develop skills, express themselves creatively and be empowered.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dr. West’s name to the Kanye West Foundation/Loop Dreams Teacher Training Institute. Those donations can be made by visiting the Foundation’s Web site,

Rihanna on her father, a former crack addict:

“I had seen the marijuana and cocaine around him but I didn’t know what it was. I just knew that my mum didn’t like it, and they were always fighting about it. My mother was a very strong woman and tried to shelter us from as much as she could. But she was working, and he was at home, so there was only so much that she could hide from us. He’s OK, he’s drug-free now. He got over it a while ago because my mother wouldn’t let us go and see him otherwise. So he gave it up for us.”

Rihanna on working with Justin Timberlake:
“I was so starstruck at being in the same room as him.”

Rihanna on her good-girl-gone-bad image:

“I felt I was embarking on a whole new image, a whole new journey. I wanted to differentiate myself from the past. I have come into my own and I know what I’m doing now. UPDATE: The cause may be complications to surgery, Dr.West stopped breathing at home and medics were unable to resuscitate according to reports...
Preliminary information indicated she died from “complications of surgery,” Lt. Fred Corral told The Associated Press. An autopsy was expected to be conducted by Wednesday, Corral said.

West had approached a plastic surgeon months ago about a procedure, but he declined to perform it because of a pre-existing medical condition and he never heard back from her, the surgeon’s publicist said Monday. [READ MORE]

In shocking and sad news, Kanye West has lost his mother, Dr. Donda West, this weekend as she passed unexpectedly. Details on the cause have not been released and the family is asking for privacy during this time.
Dr. Donda West, the mother of hip-hop superstar Kanye West, who nurtured and promoted her son’s musical career from its infancy, died Saturday in a Los Angeles hospital. She was 58.

Beyond her son’s international fame, Dr. West had carved out her own niche as a well-respected educator in Chicago — long affiliated with Chicago State University where she rose to the chairmanship of the school’s English department.

Kanye West, who was just in Chicago last week filming a music video for his song ‘‘Homecoming,’’ had just arrived in London when he learned of his mother’s death Saturday. He immediately flew to Los Angeles to join fellow family members.
Our prayers go out to the West Family. For more information, visit The Chicago Times.

It’s not often child stars make a successful transition into an adult acting career, but Tia Mowry managed to do so in the CW’s No. 1 comedy “The Game,” in which she plays Melanie Barnett, girlfriend of a superstar pro football player. “This is my first adult role,” the former “Sister, Sister” cast member told JET. “I am a grown woman. I’m almost 30 years old and I want to be portrayed as that. I don’t want people to freeze me at 14.” Twin sister Tamera Mowry also auditioned for the role. “There have been lots of times that Tia and I have auditioned for the same role. We’re very different actors,” Tamera explains. “I don’t think anyone else could play that role (Melanie Barnett) better than she can, including me.”

In addition to her new acting gig, Tia has wedding plans in the making. She has been dating actor Cory Hardrict for seven years, got engaged last Christmas and is set to marry in April. “Cory and I, we are so happily in love,” she gushes about her “best friend and mentor.”

Trey Songz was arrested and charged with behaving as a disorderly person and resisting arrest after a shooting in Sprinfield, Mass. He was later released after posting $500 bond.

The shooting took place in the parking lot of The Hippodrome, where Songz performed Saturday evening.
According to Lt. John Slepchuck of the Springfield Police Department, police officers where present when shots were fired behind the venue at 1700 Main Street.

“Our disorderly person charge can involve several different things including the use of certain language, failure to do what an officer asks,” Slepchuck told AllHipHop.com. “[Neverson] was interfering with an active crime scene involving a victim."
It is unknown if Trey Songz was connected to the shooter, who is now in police custody with multiple charges, or the victim who suffered non-life threatening injuries. However this is the second shooting at a show for Trey, he was also performing when a shooting incident occurred at Opera in Atlanta during the BET Hip Hop Awards weekend.

Is it pop, is it R&B, it is soul? All of the above, says Kevin Michael of his sound. At just 22, he's lived on the both sides of the world, but that's what gives him the edge to produce fresh music and a unique sound. His voice is not that of your average R&B crooner and he's not looking to be the average, because well...he's not easily categorized!

With his self-titled debut album, Kevin Michael, out now, he's ready to give you a little bit of everything.

READ THE FULL INTERVIEW

Melody: Well Kevin Michael, why don’t you tell everybody, who may possibly not know who you are, about yourself?

Kevin Michael: Hmmm...What about me, Kevin Michael. I’m 22 years old, from outside of Philadelphia, born and bread, and I do music. Music is my life, I don’t do anything else really that well. So I just do music, always have.

Melody: Tell me about growing up in Chester, Pennsylvania.

Kevin Michael: Yes, Chester. Chester is a not-so-nice city, know for some not-so-nice things, but we won’t talk about that because we focus on the positive. I grew up around a lot of music, my father’s a musician. So I was singing in a band early on in my life. That’s where I kind of got my passion for the music. I love live music and geeking and all of that. I didn’t go to school in Chester, I went to school outside of Chester, at a Catholic school, so it was a little bit weird going to Catholic school back then. Hanging out with predominantly affluent and white kids, then going home to the hood at night. So I got the best of both worlds. That was kind of what my childhood was like.

Melody: That’s interesting how you had to go between worlds, how did that affect you or how does it affect you now?

Kevin Michael: It left me a lot more open minded, I’m not so narrow minded. I think it opened up my musical tastes a lot, because that’s where I got introduced to alternative and grunge and Goth music, so I just call it the best of both worlds.

Melody: Your music is not one that is easily categorized; you’re very much a hybrid of a lot of sounds. So how would you put that into words for those that may not have heard much from you?

Kevin Michael: Honestly I just call it good music. I don’t like to focus on labels or categories. Yes, it’s soul. Yes, this is pop, this is R&B, this is funk, this is hip hop. It’s rock at times. It’s all of those things, not just one of those things. So I just describe it as good music, hopefully other people will say it’s good music and everything’s good.

Melody: Your debut album, which is self-titled, is out now, it came out on the 2nd [of October].

[click to buy]

Kevin Michael: Yes!

Melody: …and why don’t you tell me about the album, which I am sure is not going to be easily described either, because it’s your sound.

Kevin Michael: It is just all over the place. From track to the next, it’s very different, and I try to prep people by saying “expect the unexpected from me” because I don’t want people to put me in one box or hear the first single and say “oh, Kevin Michael’s this positive, happy-go-lucky dude, who you know…” I don’t want people to think one thing from me, just get prepared for a lot of different type of sounds of music but at the end of the day it’s good music and the common bond is my voice. The tone of my voice is a little bit different from everybody else, not saying I’m the sh*t, but you know, it’s different.

Melody: You can call yourself the sh*t, you gotta embrace that kind of thing.

Kevin Michael: [Laughs] Thank you mama!

Melody: Your welcome! I’ve listen to your album, front to back, back to front…

Kevin Michael: Thank you.

Melody: No problem, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now when someone does that, what would you like them to walk away with, after they’ve listened to the whole album? Like you said, it’s all over the place, it touches on a lot of different genres and sounds, it’s not necessarily something that you would expect from one person to go through so many different genres, but you could say that, what would you want people to walk away with?

Kevin Michael: Well, the message isn’t such a literal message as it pertains to the music. I jut want people to take away the fact that, here’s this young kid, 22-years old, living out my dream. I’m not doing anything that anybody else can’t do. I’m not a genius. I’m not this prodigy. I’m just somebody that was blessed to have a vision early on and stayed focused. I’m living out my dream right now. Anybody can do that and it’s not just about music, it’s about whatever, it could be you want to be a doctor, it could be you want to be the greatest housewife. It doesn’t really matter. Just be you, don’t be afraid to do what you want to do. Anybody could do it honestly.

Melody: Like you said, your living out your dream, you had a vision. When did the vision come to you to say, this it, I’m going to pursue music?

Kevin Michael: You know what? I don’t know if this sounds scary or cliché or whatever, but there’s never been a time in my life where I didn’t now that I was going to do music. I mean, my earliest memory is of singing or acting out something I saw in a video, listening to the radio. Like I’ve always been that kid.

Melody: That’s good that your living out your dream, not everyone is able to do that, so that’s definitely a blessing for you. Now who did you work with on the album, as far as production?

Kevin Michael: Obviously we have Wyclef on the first single, Bloodshy and Avant from Sweden, Brian Kid from Atlanta, L Rock from Atlanta, The Clutch, Erica Hudson, Shay Taylor, Paper Boy, J.R. Rotem, and that’s it. The rest is me on the album. There’s 13 tracks on the album, 2 bonus tracks. I wrote and produced around 9 of the 13 and it’s just me, man!

Melody: Which song on the album, was the first one that you wrote?

Kevin Michael: Wow! It would probably be “We All Want the Same Thing,” “It Don’t Make Any Difference to Me,” “Vickie Secrets,” and “Ain’t Got You” are all songs that we wrote in 2004 and 2005. But “We All Want…” was probably the first.

Melody: There are a lot of different sounds on the album, one that really sticks out with “Liquid Lava Love,” you listen to that and you probably, for most people, the first thing that comes to your mind is Prince.

Kevin Michael: Uh Huh…

Melody: Who are your other influences that you have musically, that will show up in this album?

Kevin Michael: Prince, Michael [Jackson], Stevie [Wonder], Rick James, there’s moments of like Quincy [Jones] and Rod Temperton. There’s definitely like that crazy, funky, Parliament, Bootsie [Collins], George Clinton, and weird type stuff at some moments. Brandy’s a big inspiration to me, I love her, I love the way she makes her background vocal arrangements like that. I don’t know, just some good soul!

Melody: That’s good, I like that! Both of your lead singles, “It Don’t Make Any Difference to Me” and

Kevin Michael: “All We Want...”

Melody: …right, are not your typical singles, it not about dancing, it’s not about clubbing, it’s not about…

Kevin Michael: Booties, ass, bling bling, all that stuff.

Melody: Right! So it’s definitely on that other spectrum and did you particularly put those out first?

Kevin Michael: Well, I don’t think I did it consciously, because I think there are playful moments on the album where it feels, quote-unquote normal, but I think these songs were just a good representation of who I am. I kind of wanted to let people know off the bat that I’m not just the typical average, snap-your-fingers, do-your-step, ringtone, here-today-gone-tomorrow, type artist, and I think those first singles kind of displayed that.

Melody: “It Don’t Make Any Difference to Me” is kind of autobiographical in a sense because you are bi-racial and it hits on that. Did you go into that saying, I want to write about myself, or did it just come out?

Kevin Michael: If I’m being honest, part of it was the label, and then the other part was me wanting people to know who I am because, putting it politely, I hear this all the time. “What are you?” I just kind of wanted to lay all the card on the table and let people know yes, he’s not white boy Black, he’s not Black boy white, he actually both. He’s bi-racial. I kind of wanted to clear that up and I also wanted to be the voice for the young, mixed kids in the world right now.

Melody: I’m mixed too so, hey Power to the Mixed kids!

Kevin Michael: Hey! We rule the world baby!

Melody: Most people are mixed at this point anyway! Now the two bonus tracks are the acoustic versions, which feature Akil Dasan, which some people may remember from the Missy [Elliot] show, which hit me about 2 months later.

Kevin Michael: [Laughs] That’s because he cut off the dreads!

Melody: He did cut off the dreads, that’s what it was! But both of the acoustic versions are getting critical acclaim, did you record the acoustic after or before?

Kevin Michael: After, it was right after we had done the album and we had just started hitting the road, and going to see people and the first couple of shows people were like, “Well this isn’t what I was expecting, the album doesn’t sound like that.” So we kind of wanted one, to wean people in to our like stripped down acoustic set, but number two, also set up an online presence before we dropped the album or did anything. So with the press we wanted to the online fanbase first. We released that EP exclusively on iTunes for digital downloads.

Melody: Well that worked out very nicely for you I believe.

Kevin Michael: Thank you!

Melody: Now you’re about to hit the road with Maroon 5, about to make a nice cross-country trek. How did that come together?

Kevin Michael: We did a Secret MySpace Show with them in San Diego and from that they liked us so much that they asked us back out and I have a great booking agent!

Melody: What’s next for Kevin Michael?

Kevin Michael: The tour, promoting the single, promoting the album, we just got Discover Download with MTV, I’m a Big 10 artist, shout out to MTV. We’ll go back overseas, do some more shows overseas, and just working everyday grinding. That’s it!

Melody: Now music is your life, but do you see yourself in any other realm outside of music, in the industry?

Kevin Michael: Oh, absolutely! But I can’t let those cats out of the bag just yet but I got to work on it. I’m the kind of person who doesn’t like to talk about it, I like to be about it! So in the next couple years, we’ll see!

Melody: Well that’s good you have aspirations outside of music and I’ll be looking for you, where ever you may turn up! Thanks for talking to pop-junkie.com and good luck with everything.

Kevin: Thank you very much, hopefully I’ll see you at the show!

Beyonce arrives in Jakarta during her tour through Asia

Beyonce may be dropping the R&B for the internationally-friend Dance genre for her next album...not surprising! I just hope she surprises us all and sits her ass down for a breather soon! Love ya chick but hell I need a break.
The 26-year-old singer has asked dance act The Freemasons to work on a new song for her next LP after her last offering 'B-Day' failed to sell as well as hoped.

James Wiltshire, one half of the duo, said: "The album is going to be huge. "It will rival anything the likes of Britney and Rihanna have done recently. Beyoncé and her team can see where mistakes were made on her last album.

"That was very American, very r'n'b and stripped back. This time they want to go for a more international sound and hit as many audiences as possible.

"Normally big stars don't take any notice of smaller acts like ours, so her decision to work with us shows just where she is going with this album."

Beyoncé's team approached James and his musical partner Russell Small after they heard the pair's official remixes of the star's hit songs 'Déjà Vu' and 'Beautiful Liar'. [SOURCE]

Da Brat was arrested early Thursday after a dispute at a nightclub.

Witnesses told police the 33-year-old rapper, whose real name is Shawntae Harris, got into an argument with a waitress and later hit her over the head with a bottle of rum, Atlanta television station WSB reported.

Da Brat was booked into DeKalb County jail on a charge of aggravated assault, said a bonding agent at the jail.

According to Mekka Parish, a spokeswoman with the DeKalb County Police Department, witnesses told investigators the 24-year-old server "accidentally bumped" Da Brat as she walked through Studio 72's VIP lounge, and the two "engaged in a little scuffle of some pushing and arguing."

"The waitress walked away, and moments later Da Brat hit her in the face with a rum bottle," said Parish.

The legal troubles continue for the Weezy one...first he was arraign in Atlanta on drug charges and sued by a Miami jewelry company for allegedly failing to pay for his bling.

Lil' Wayne plead not guilty to three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. The rapper was arrested in August 2006 after police, tipped off by a hotel employee, found marijuana and over 100 Xanax and hydrocodone pills in Wayne's room.

He is scheduled to return to court on Nov. 20, at which time the judge is expected to rule on a series of motions filed by his lawyer, William Head, seeking to have the case dismissed.

As for his latest civil court woes, Jack Sutton Fine Jewelry filed suit in Florida's Miami-Dade Circuit Court, alleging Lil' Wayne failed to make good on a $146,000 bill for a diamond ring and necklace purchased earlier this month.
